He stared at her, lids lowered a little, as if he was still fighting to look neutral; not as annoyed as he was. He lowered his hand. It wasn't like Runa hadn't crossed his mind when he had gone through the list of possible culprits. She had played more people than he could count, all the while looking perfectly innocent and plucking the apples of discord she had poisoned while still on the tree.

Just like Yumemite, no one would ever suspect her because nobody outside the council had ever seen her true colors. Like the rest of them, she was sadistic, cruel, but unlike most of them, she was also very childish if her age was taken into consideration. So was Midari, however, but he wasn't sure she'd do something this silly. His right brow rose slowly as he kept regarding Jabami Yumeko.

Her innocent act was old news; he had seen through that facade almost immediately. She could still be the one who had done it; it'd suit her well. On the other hand, how was he supposed to prove it? More importantly, was it even worth the energy? Exhaustion followed him like a shadow, so he had to watch himself carefully if he wanted to get all the things done he was supposed to get done.

Kaede tilted his head. "You're lucky. There are no witnesses and like you said, no footage to prove your guilt. I'm going to let it slide." He wouldn't. The fact someone disrespected him enough to portray him as a puppy spoke volumes. He needed to dethrone the president as soon as possible. Maybe this was a sign that he should hurry up before more people adapted the mindset that he was better off serving than ruling this school.

“If there was someone got here just to remove it, Surveillance cameras may help but we don’t have them.” Yumeko was curious that she was thinking about who was actually behind this. All those records might be in good use to know their weaknesses but who else was using it if someone can understand it.

“The Devouring families isn’t even involved either as they only mind their own businesses.” Terano and the others? It can be possible since they all have the same goal: Dethrone Kirari Momobami. Still, they won’t go that low to do so. Might be possible to ask Runa and the hoodie dealers?

“Should we ask Yomozuki about this? She might be in good help…” Thinking about it, chances may be in 50-50.

Kaede looked up slowly, making eye contact, but taking his time to reply. The expression on his face remained the same from start to finish, all muscles relaxed; exuding some sort of tranquility.

Just like his mother.

Taking in the silver bangs and braids, so similar in color to his own hair now, he suppressed a reaction to the irony that revealed itself. He had wanted her position and now he had her looks.

He hated it.

If being the Student Council President suited him like Momobami Kirari's appearance did, maybe this was his final warning to stay away from it once and for all. Not that he had a choice now.

The point of no return had long been reached.

Why was he still bargaining? Still holding onto the remains of what he knew; what he was used to? A standard that had been taken from him, that he had let her take away within two seconds.

He almost smiled. Just like his mother. But he didn't. Instead, he kept his voice even, blinking slowly and raising his hand to adjust his glasses in a slow, almost graceful motion.
