almost none of the reasons why i support abortion rights have anything to do with babies. really it’s more about the fact that I think the government shouldn’t be able to force you to lend all your organs to someone else and change irreparably in the process. is a fetus a person? I don’t care! If it is a person, I don’t want anyone to be forced to host one against their will! If it isn’t a person, guess what? Nobody should be forced to host one against their will! What’s a soul? What’s a person? When does life begin? IRRELEVANT! A world in which the government can force anyone to manufacture an entirely new human body at the cost of their own is not a world I want to live in!

#you cannot give a fetus rights that a normal human being does not have #if you dont want to donate organs after you're dead no one can take them from you #you cannot force someone to lend you their body #and if another person cannot lend you their body then you cannot expect a fetus (a non conscious glob of cells) to be worthy of+ #someone else giving them their body for survival

it's honestly so jarring to me that so many of our grandparents had incredibly toxic marriages because I didn't see that growing up not because I was a child but because my grandparents were only one year apart and they got married when they were over 30, so like all of these ppl with horrible stories about how their grandmothers were literal children and had to marry grown ass men just shows how normalized things are that it isn't normal to talk about these things

I think that this just prevented me from seeing toxic and/or grooming situations as normal because it wasn't part of my family, which isn't to say that my grandparents were completely normal and not at all toxic because they were, but their marriage itself was out of love, and I think this did benefit my family because well if grandma could get married in the 1950s at 30, then I can simply do what I want

even my mom had friends who got married in highschool!! and I was like what is the need for that!! like I always thought that as the decades passed, there was no need to get married young (career, education, money, cultural values, etc), and my mom was like yeah but that was normal! and I'm like babe no it's not look at your fucking mother she got married when she was 30 why did your friends get married when they were 16 to another 16 year old!!!
