Please think about why these videos are coming out in English. In your tongue, so that you can understand them. Don't ignore them or get tired of seeing them or call them guilt-trippy. by the way, the fact that motaz azaiza even felt the need to post a 22-minute video on december 21 in which he profusely apologised due to people criticising him for "not doing enough" as a journalist on the ground is enraging. the fact that he, as a man whose chance to live safely and happily through his 20s was torn to shreds, is being made to say sorry and explain that he's actively on the verge of being killed just for doing his work is enraging.

yeah dude that egyptian vendor who got harassed multiple times in ny, getting called a terrorist isn't affected by this at all. visibly middle eastern/north african people and/or muslims in the west are not affected by this even a little bit. lebanese people are not affected by this it's not like israel has been bombing southern lebanon for a few months now and threatened them that beirut would be next. yemenis are not affected by this, the un didn't cut off humanitarian aid to them when they're in dire need of it because of their support for palestine. damascus hasnt been bombed at all and the golan heights don't exist wdym. these ay-rabs are centering themselves🙄

The Christian population of Gaza is now something like ~1000 people. Given Israel's average, the whole population can be wiped out in 2-3 attacks.

Obviously this isn't a solid prediction but can you imagine?

My husband's extended family is part of this 1000. They are the only branch of the family that has been living in Gaza. Can you imagine that their presence can be totally obliterated?

A whole Palestinian ethnic group, the oldest Christians in the world, with its people, churches, culture and traditions - all can be disappeared in no time? And then we will tell our kids "there used to be..."?

we know due to conducted studies on lives experiences that psychotic symptoms and disorders prevent differently based on the culture and society a person lives in.

i'm so tired of seeing "schizophrenia would still exist under communism you idiots" when discussing the impact of mental health under capitalism. it's always brought up.

while psychosis will always exist schizophrenic people raised in hyper-capitalist, individualist societies have a more terrifying experience with the condition. their voices and delusions are more violent. they are rejected by their peers and end up homeless because they can't function in the only environment capitalism cares about--a work environment.

i've been in and out of treatment for psychosjs for years now and nothing helped me more than loved ones accepting me. for accepting that i'll never function the same as them and that's okay. for making sure i'm in a safe environment when in a delusional state.

so please consider it's not just things like depression that can be better or worse based on your environment.

Guys yes there are fake videos circulating but they are not being circulated by palestinian journalists. Just follow the journalists in Gaza on instagram and Twitter. They are posting videos at risk to their lives. Motaz was receiving threatening phone calls from the IOF. Wael was shot by a drone the other day and almost died. Another journalist Samer Abudaqa was recently targeted and killed. Please follow them.
