Hey, you must be new here. I am Caleb, welcome to Berry High!
Since I am into making moodboards for the choices characters, I decided to start with Caleb's, since he was my first LI in choices. Comment/reblog on which character I should make next.
I've admired @bayleedraws-sometimesx's beautiful work since I joined Tumblr, so when I saw she had opened emergency commissions, I knew I had to get one. Here are Trystan and Emma, probably holding hands in public while somehow still believing they're being discreet.
Cadybear's MC Wardrobes: Evie Ayana, HSS:CA. Featuring some edits by me!
How this series goes: With each book, for a MC I'm invested in, I'll assess each of their in-game outfits. How much do I like or dislike the outfit? Is this something that suits my MC's style, or does it make me go "My MC would NOT wear/own this"? And for the outfits that my MC would not wear or own, how would I alter or replace them? I'm not going to use screenshots from the actual game because I can't be arsed. Also I want to use the different sprite expressions to express how my MC would feel about each outfit.
I like to think this is a good opportunity to elaborate on my MCs' dress styles, and show off some edits :D
We've gone through all of the wardrobe of the OG HSS trilogy, but we're not quite done yet. The OG MC appears as a non-playable character in HSS:CA, and gets two new outfits in that trilogy, so let's assess them for Evie Ayana!
After this, I do plan to make a post showcasing some of the bonus miscellaneous outfits I came up with myself for other events in the timeline.
Directory for the other parts will be included in the reblogs after I've completed the posts for all books!
Free Default Casual Outfit (if you didn't buy the premium outfit in the OG trilogy finale)
Yeah this is in Evie's style. Simple, casual, basic jeans-and-tee.
Verdict: Part of Evie's wardrobe. Keep it as is (but also add one or two extra items).
For example, varsity letterman jacket. And the jade necklace from Aiden. This is a possible contender for what I'll headcanon as her fall casual outfit for HSS:CA.
Prospero Costume for the Tempest musical in Book 3
Honestly, she looks pretty cool in this. Kinda badass. It's a bit bulky, but it works. And she'd love the purple colors.
I do however, plan to rewrite a lot of stuff in HSS:CA, including which characters get which roles in the plays. But chances are, Evie's probably gonna stay in the Prospero role.
Verdict: IDK if you're allowed to keep your theatre costumes, but in either case, Evie would enjoy wearing this. Keep it as is.
edenbrook band my beloved <3 will expand on them eventually and obvi these are not like. fully accurate. but hey here they are
from top left to bottom right (going across): dr eve baria (lead singer, guitar), dr gwen imani (piano, synths), dr sam wynder (drums, trumpet), dr jensen valentine (bass, clarinet), dr nick silva (guitar), dr maren donovan (viola, violin)
(in parentheses are the instruments they play IN the band, not every instrument they know how to play)
I will be sad if Crimes of Passion 3 is a wedding book. For one thing, they've been together all of five minutes. But mostly, this book should be about solving Jimmy's murder. That's the cornerstone of MC's character. It should be the core of the last book of the trilogy.
I'm not saying there shouldn't be couple moments. I'm really looking forward to those. But let it be moments that feel authentic to this stage of their relationship. How do we handle the press? Your apartment or mine? Is it too soon to give you a key?
Jumping straight to marriage feels like a disservice on so many levels.

Under development... now accepting MC / OC pages....
i love the self-reflection going on in regards to checking yourselves for your own internal biases and in the spirit of that- i want to address one last thing.
the FIRST step in taking accountability is admitting what you've done is wrong. fully and transparently. apologies are a commitment made to those who have been wronged that you'll do better. they need to explicitly showcase what was wrong and who needs to own up to their wrongdoings (if you know anyone who needs to, ofc). otherwise it's only an apology made to save face so you can feel better and move on. not for the people affected.
so as someone done wrong, hear me when i say this:
whitewashing any canonically poc character is racist. supporting content that whitewashes poc characters is racist. and if you genuinely want to take accountability, you'll need to admit this out loud. fully and transparently for everyone to see:
bryce lahela from open heart was whitewashed. bryce lahela is an indigenous hawaiian person. [insert your name here] endorsed/supported fanart that whitewashed bryce lahela by [insert what you did here].
and before y'all start with the "i want to protect people's privacy" or "allow people the opportunity to acknowledge it themselves"--
being vague in your apology does no one any favors. it gives people an out. a reason to believe that whatever it is you're saying sorry for doesn't involve them. if they genuinely are unaware, you saying it out loud point blank period will go a long way.
It has recently come to my attention that I was one of the people who interacted with the whitewashed art of Bryce Lahela and Keiki Lahela. While I had seen discussion surrounding the piece, I wasn’t entirely sure whether or not I had interacted with it. I checked my archive and saw no reblogs from either my main or this account and I checked through my likes and came up with nothing. Still, to be certain, I reached out to the OP when I heard she was reaching out to people who had reblogged/interacted with the post and when she found nothing, I assumed I was worrying for nothing.
I was wrong. To be clear: none of that is an excuse. It does not justify, erase, or temper what I did. I was one of the people who liked the post and further normalized the whitewashing of Indigenous Hawaiian characters which is racist.
I am ashamed it took me this long to find out. It was not my intention to do so and neither do I condone such actions. However, that does not erase the fact that I did and further contributed to the erasure of POC characters from entertainment media –especially when there’s already so little representation to begin with.
While I am ashamed and disappointed in myself, I will use this as a lesson for myself and any others of what you endorse and to think before liking/reblogging/interacting. I will strive to do better from here, beginning with being more diligent of what I consume and interact with.
