CebPac: Flying with you SOON!
[Warning: LONG post]
YAAAAAS! Youāve read that right! I passed Cebu Pacificās recruitment yesterday!!!!!!!! I still couldnāt believe it. Out of 107 applicants here in Zamboanga City, I was one of the 6 aspirants who passed! Thank you so much, Lord!! You never fail!Ā
The recruitment process was actually really fast! There were only two steps, Physical Assessment and Final Interview. Yes, that quick. It was different from what Iāve read online, as there were three steps involved, Physical Assessment, Group Interview, and lastly, the Final Interview.Ā
I was sort of an early bird yesterday, so I was the 12th applicant when I arrived the venue, which was held in Garden Orchid Hotel. Then they called us to enter a small room where they oriented us regarding how the process would take place and showed us videos on how to groom yourself as a CebPac Cabin Crew, afterwards they started calling us by four. When it was our turn (#9 to #12), we were asked to stand on a wall so they can measure our height, then we were asked to smile, and turn 90 degrees to our right 4 times. After that, the results were announced right away and luckily my name and Mikeeās name (newly-met friend who traveled all the way from Cebu to Zamboanga) were called! Then the recruiter, Miss Nicole, gave us our green card, the golden ticket for the next and final step. I was so happy cause I passed the first step. Then we were asked to wait beside the room we were at for our final interview.
When me and Mikee were waiting for our names to be called for the final interview, we were wondering why it was only the two of us who were seated outside, then it ht me, we were the first ones who passed the first step out of the 20 applicants who were done with the Physical Assessment, then there were about 25 more applicants for the first batch.
When it was my turn for the final interview, I was a tad bit nervous but I didnāt let it get the best of me. The interviewer greeted me and told me to take a seat, asked the usual details like how old am I and how did I find out about this recruitment, then the questions came in, and believe me, those questions were super unexpected! For more than a month now, Iāve been researching and practicing the things to say during an interview, and out of the hundred of questions I encountered online, I was asked only one of the common questions which wasĀ āIf you were to be based at a certain location, where do you prefer to be based?ā. Anyway, I was asked things about my faith, my family, things I dislike about myself, what gets me upset, and the weirdest one was,Ā āDo you think youāll go to heaven? Why or why not?ā, good thing I was spontaneous enough to answer all of the questions! I was also asked to stand a few steps in front of her, made me remove my blazer, asked if my hairās at its original color, and I was also asked if I know somebody working at CebPac as a cabin crew and how I met her. Then she told me to come back at 11:30 am for the results. It was around 10:30 that time.
When it was time for the results, we lined up outside the room, then one of the recruiters came out with our resumes which apparently had the results! We were all so nervous! When she started calling the first batch of names, I was with MIkee that time, our names werenāt called. So we were sorta dismayed and just hoped for the best. When the first batch got out of the room, some of them congratulated us, and again, we were clueless on as to what was happening. Then when the second batch of names were called, I was really anxious cause my name still wasnāt called! Cause some of the applicants I know, were called. Then voila! My name was called last! Then we went inside the room together and the recruiter was likeĀ āHere I have the results with me, the interviewers wrote down their comments and things that you should improve on... So thank you for applying with us... You passed!ā (I still get goosebumps while typing this glorious moment! TT). I couldnāt believe it! Out of the hundreds of people who applied, we actually passed! It is indeed true that in the airline industry, particularly in the cabin crew position that Ā āMany are called, but only few are chosenā, and weāre the chosen few! We then had a group hug with the recruiter and thanked her and all that. Then we were asked to go to another room for the pre-employment details and requirements.
So basically, weāre still unemployed. LOL. They gave us one week to comply the mundane requirements. But whoās to complain, right? This right here is a dream gradually coming true.
So for those who are in doubt of themselves, why dont you give it try? Who knows, you might be just like us. Just like me, who, in spite of the flaws and insecurities, still went through and tried my luck and eventually succeeded!
Thank you for the answered prayers. Glory to God! And Iām flying with you soon. :)

On Zamboanga City: CebPac Cabin Crew Recruitment
I've posted a photo earlier on the Cebu Pacific Cabin Crew Recruitment here in Zamboanga City come July 22, 2015. As far as I know, CebPac has held its recruitment only once here in our city (not sure though, correct me if I'm wrong) last June 2015. And now, they're back! I wasnt able to attend last year's recruitment because I was sooo busy with my last year in college. So this year, now that I'm ~unemployed~, I'm planning to attend the said recruitment day. I'm 95% sure that I'm not going to be one of the lucky few FOR NOW, due to my visible flaws. But that 5% is what pushes me to try my luck. Its what keeps me going. So might as well give it a try, right? After all, I'm the only one who hinders myself from joining. I've already had my business attire prepared, hair removal cream (cus I'm a hairy woman), and I'm going to buy the makeup that I need tomorrow. And oh! I almost forgot to update my resumĆ©! Eek! Anyway, it's really ironic of me because I do not want any of my friends and relatives to know about me applying cause I cannot handle that much expectation and disappointment from other people. And yet I am blogging this to the internet, where everyone can access this. š Btw, it's between you, me, my mom, and my boyfriend. Lol! I'll keep you posted on how the recruitment process for cabin crew shall be done. Wish me luck! xoxo

My Dream of Becoming a Flight Attendant
Yup. Still a dream. A working progress. As of July of 2016.
It has always been a dream of mine to be an FA. In fact, on my last year in high school, I was torn between choosing BS Tourism and BS Biology as the course Iād be taking in college. BS Biology because I also wanted to be a doctor. Yes, I was a very ambitious kid back then. And I ended up takingā¦. BS Biology.
I asked my mom for advise on which course to take up, she told me wherever my heart was, that would be the path that I should take. But two years after BS Bio, I realized that I cant proceed to medschool due to financial constraint and I guess, it wasnāt really my calling. So I continued the course and was able to graduate on time.
During my last year in college, I was really determined to graduate and so I could apply for my dream job already. Because it would be easier for me to land a job, right? Or so I thought.
Fast forward to present and currently unemployed. šš I am now more eager to get the job. To be working 36,000 ft above sea level. To be a flight attendant. However after thorough research, my chances of becoming one became slimmer. Airlines were looking for, if not perfect, then flawless individuals - which would entail having no visible scars on your body and most especially on your face. Which I have, on my chin. š Also, one must have a good set of teeth, which again, I lack. I mean, I have a good smile as my upper teeth are aligned however the lower teeth arenāt. And also, they are strict with having dark elbows and knees, but Iām working on mine. I actually bought a bleaching set for only P150 at OK Bazaar, its called iWhite Active Whitening Set. #endorser š
Anyway, so I guess I have to work somewhere else before applying for any airline, so I can improve myself for my dream job. It holds true that to be a flight attendant is an investment. But all your expenses will be worth it once you get the job! And thatās just one of the many benefits you get when youāre an FA.
Keep in touch, guys! Never give up and keep on chasing that dream. Hope to fly with you soon! xoxo

About Me
Hi, readers! (If I have anyā¦)
I just want to introduce myself to you. My Name is NiƱa Angelica Sousa. Iām 20 years old. Born on September 04, 1995. 5'5" in height. Iām from Asiaās Latin City - La bella Zamboanga. A fresh graduate of Western Mindanao State University witha degree in BS Biology. And last but definitely not the least, in a relationship of 2 amazing years and counting. š
I was actually an active member of tumblr before. But college happened, so I seldom update my blog and just recently, I was trying to open my account, and to my dismay, I couldnt open it anymore. I guess itās a sign that I already have to leave my past behind and start anew, yes? š #dramabomb
I decided to make a new blog which focuses on my dreams and aspirations because I have never encountered a blogger from the city that I live in. Iām kind of a wanna-be inspiration for my fellow ZamboangueƱas. Lol! I am just so inspired with the bloggers that Iāve encountered. Iāve seen them grow and succeed in their chosen fields so Iām hoping to do the same as well. I aspire to inspire, just like them. So keep in touch and I hope you enjoy reading my blog! xoxo
