Reasons I love you

Jaune: Is there something wrong, my sweet Flame? Cinder:*in a flat voice* No, I'm fine. Jaune: *he slowly walks up to her from behind, wrapping his arms around her slender waist, putting his head gently onto her right shoulder* You might be a good liar, but you can't hide things from me, not anymore at least. Cinder: *she grumbles a bit at hearing Jaune call her out on her lie* Fine. It's just... why does someone like you even want to be around me, let alone love me and be my partner? I did so much to hurt you and yet here you are, loving me as if nothing had ever happened. Jaune: *he chuckles softly at hearing the Fall Maiden ruminate over his love for her yet again* Because you're amazing, you're exceptionally smart and romantic, you've helped me be a better person, for myself and others, you can be so incredibly sweet to the people you care about and you're so breathtakingly beautiful, especially with all your scars. You used to hide that side from the world, that's why I used to hate you. I couldn't even fathom what would get someone to do the things you did, but once I actually got to know you and your story, it started making sense to me, and I thought I could give you a chance, it was definitely better to have you on our side than on Salem's, but then we talked and I saw glimpses of those amazing qualities you have shine through from time to time. So I had to see if that side of you really exists, and it actually does, and it's so much purer and more beautiful than anything I could've ever imagined. That's why I love you, because you set my heart aflame and I never want to live without that feeling again. *he gives her a quick yet gentle peck on her cheek and then goes back to burying his face in Cinder's shoulder* Cinder: *she blushes softly at hearing her Knight in shining armor list some of the things he loves about her, which only turns brighter, like a flame with freshly added fuel, once he kisses her cheek. The Maiden moving her lone hand to Jaune's arms, putting it onto them and giving them a gentle rub as a tear streams down her cheek from her singular amber orb* Thank you Jaune. I love you too and I certainly hope I never have to live a single day without you either

Jealous bunny

Cinder: *sitting with a bunny in her lap, gently petting it* Jaune: *looking at his girlfriend and admiring how adorable she can be sometimes* Cinder: Jaune, you're staring, are you that jealous of Pete? Jaune: *crossing his arms and pouting a little* I am not jealous, you're just adorable. Cinder: *softly chuckles* I'll have to disagree with you on that front my bunny knight, I think you're jealous. And besides, I don't think I'm adorable either, but don't worry, once I'm done here you can lay your head in my lap and get all the pets you want~ Jaune: *his face turns a light shade of crimson red as he quietly mumbles* I-I wouldn't say no to that

Nightmare

Jaune awakens in the middle of the night to the sound of muffled and quiet sobbing coming from his partner. She was curled up with her back facing him, trying to cry into the blanket as to not disturb her sleeping bunny knight. He was still a little groggy, so it took him a second to understand what was happening. After he recollected his thoughts he turned to face the sobbing ball and wrapped an arm around it, pulling her closer and holding her tightly against him. Jaune, speaking in a deeper than usual and sleepy voice: "Hey, it's okay, I'm here." Cinder immediately turns around at hearing his voice, facing him and hiding her face in his chest and wrapping her lone arm around him tightly. Jaune begins softly stroking her back and whispers into her ear: "Did you have a nightmare again?" All Cinder could muster was a tiny, timid nod. Nightmares have been plaguing her since she was a child. They used to be of that hotel, the glass unicorn, and the abuse she lived through there. But ever since he pulled her from the darkness and showed her the light, her nightmares have been different. They're about him, about losing her knight in shining armor and being alone again. Jaune moves his hand up to her head, gently rubbing her scalp, still holding her as tight as possible with his other arm. "I'm here for you, I'll always be here for you. I'm *not* leaving, I promise. And you know what they say about an Arc's promise, they never go back on their word and that includes me." Cinder's sobs got a little quieter at hearing him say it with this dorky optimism ever present in his voice. While it may not be enough to stop the nightmares, it is enough to remind her about how she isn't alone, despite everything she's done, she still has her human embodiment of a golden retriever by her side. They lay together like this for a while, Jaune whispering gentle affirmations to Cinder to calm her and to make sure she knows how much he appreciates her. At some point her knight notices the sobs subside and be replaced with a cute snore as his favorite cin fell asleep in his arms and he follows suit a few minutes later, not before making sure she's fast asleep and safe.

Hot Chocolate

Cinder sitting alone next to a campfire in the woods somewhere near Vale

Jaune: *sits down next to Cinder with two mugs in his hands* Hey, I brought you some hot chocolate, or well, cold chocolate. We could warm it next to the campfire Cinder: *lifts her lone eyebrow and reaches for the bottom of one of the mugs with her lone human arm* Cinder: Just hold it for a second. *she uses her semblance, causing her single amber eye to emit a gentle golden glow as the mug slowly gets warm* Jaune: Or you do that, that's also an option. Cinder: Yes it is, now do you want your chocolate to be hot too or not? Jaune: *he moves his mug closer to Cinder while making sure not to spill the already hot one on himself* I think I'd rather have hot chocolate, sounds better than cold milk with a piece of chocolate swimming in it. Cinder: *promptly uses her semblance on his mug too, warming it up and melting the chocolate in it before taking her mug from him and giving it a taste* Cinder: *scoots closer to Jaune and gently leans her head on his shoulder, mumbling quietly* Thank you Jaune: *places his head against hers and quietly answers her, just barely making a sound* Of course, my sweet flame
