a keyhost is a host in which they are the "main alter" and rarely can leave front. oftentimes whenever they do leave they always come back in a short amount of time, as if they are bound to the front room/control room. this is similar to being permanently frontstuck, though not quite.

other alters tend to have to control the body through the keyhost, so outwordly it can seem like the keyhost is doing or saying something, when really it is another alter.

ours is a mansion!! like victorian type, it’s always changing but we also have The Forest™️ outside the mansion where nobody is allowed to go except the gatekeepers and our scout, ir’s where new alters come from and where the more malicious headmates live/are thrown into depending on circumstances.

our memory storage is like a Big Library? the memories fluctuate between video tapes and books, it’s really cool. i’ve made a small board of our iw on pinterest to help with visualizing it since we have aphantasia

Systems are awesome they're a marvel of psychology however I'm most interested in inner worlds because they're mostly created by the imagination of a child or the imagination of an adult and sometimes it's really easy to tell by which. for us it depends? visually they become stars in the Star Room until they leave dormancy, but for people who Have become stars they’ve said it’s basically either a void or a black hole where you just dont have any memory of that time

Systems tell me where your dormant alters go do they have like a place in the headspace?

Ours go into a cave (which is surprisingly common)
