"I want Mikey to be more than uwu wittle baby that can't stand up for himself."
Possibly unpopular opinion, some of you couldn't handle him wanting anything other than what his brother's and father would want.
You can't handle him idea of him getting up wanting something else and going for it even if it means going his own way.
I know some of you get it, but It's kind of annoying seeing the trend unfold when you some would make him a complete background character or make him"outgrow" his wants, needs, and dreams just to fit the fantasy of all of them living in one sewer with their spouses and kids at his expense.
I also don't like the fandom version of mikey being a helpless baby that needs to be taken cared of by his brothers and won't survive without them, but many drop it once his wants go against the staus quo and god forbid he actually go for it.
Itās always amusing for me to watch people compare traumas (from the various movies/tv series) that the turtles have gone through and to imagine the turtles all in a room examining and dissecting the greatest traumas (and donāt get me wrong, theyāve all gone through a lot), but I feel like they would all share the same level of mortification when the 2012 calmly admit, āOur dadās dead. Raph watched him get stabbed and thrown, and the rest of us were there when his limp, lifeless, bleeding body hit the ground.ā
No other tv iteration can really say that, tbh.
The last Ronin (technical addition bc it has clips, ig?) is the only real competitor but itās mainly a comic storyline so itās hit or miss.
End of seasons/movies and they all got living, breathing rat dads.
Again, I fully accept that this may just be coming from the POV of a biased 2012 TMNT fan.
Still, those boys sound like the tragic winners to me.
After reading a lot of fanfics about Mutant Apocalypse, it's been on my mind to create my own AU about that alternate ending. So I quickly got to work to start with the first conceptual idea.
Really, I don't think I'm going to... finish it, much less spend a lot of time on it, however, if I'm lucky (because I don't have time) I would like to make a comic...
Well, but for now, I'm showing you a sketch that occurred to me about the protagonists of these episodes: My dear Raph and my dear Donnie... Well, it's obvious that I love them very much HAHA. I'm just going to say that Raph's head hurts a lot, and that Donnie has been very close to being impaled by a pipe (He really got lucky, although he's not out of danger). Metalhead (not seen in the drawing but he is present in this AU) is searching for medical supplies and protecting the brothers from aggressive deformed mutants that stalk the surroundings.
comic of a scene from the fic a shot in the dark doesn't make it unbreak by @stillateenageabomination !! had a lot of fun on this one :] (also, if you love angst like i do, give the fic a read!)
