Heh, Hoodie here. Tings have been kind of busy for us. Malware got transferred to a new restaurant after impressing some big time chef, so we had to move... Though we might have cheated and bought permits to some land and just used magic to move our current house there.

Still took a lot of time to get everything ready, and we had to wait until Chara’s school records transferred before they could start school... on the plus side, Frisk recently turned five and started preschool.

So, uh. I’ve had to bring this up again because something just happened and it has me really scared. Recently, someone stole about 50 dollars from me. By the time I knew, I couldnt do anything about it.

Immediately afterwards, my card got charged another fifty dollars.

I pay for so much by card that cancelling this is not something I can do over the phone, but I need to go into my bank. Talk with them. But I can’t do that until Monday, and by then, I don’t know how much whoever it is will have taken. I owe bills very soon, and if I can’t get my money back, which everyone is saying I won’t, it’s going to be really troublesome.

I’m terrified of what this might mean- I’m already behind on rent and even my security deposit, I can’t afford having my money stolen. So if there’s any way any of you can take a moment to donate or just spread the word, I would so, so appreciate it.

Those little sounds, they were so bright and full of infant joy - Leeroy felt as though he’d melt as he heard them, watching the baby reach towards him. “Oh! Ollo Acacia!” He enthused, eyelights sparkling as he beamed at them, delighted.

What was that scent? Oh! Tacos! They were fresh, too, he noted, as the plate was set down. “Aah, thank you~!” He chirped, picking one up to begin nibbling on as he glanced at Malware. “They said hi to me!”

“They like saying hi everytime they see someone come in a room, even if they just stepped out for a second... They’re a friendly baby.” He took Acacia from Chara and rocked them gently, chuckling when he got a greeting as well.

“I hope you like the tacos. They’re a newer recipe I tried out.”

Submission Jumpscare video (WARNING)

So…not only has this happened to me just now (albeit in my side blog), but lots of my other friends have been getting this, too. I’m PRETTY sure there are already other warnings circulating tumblr, but another one won’t hurt.

There are some sorrowful fucks going around in fake email addresses and submitting a video with a kinda weird thumbnail.

I’m pretty sure it looks like this:

I didn’t click it at all, but after hearing from various sources, it’s a jumpscare.

Spread the word and close your submissions if you want, but if you see a random fake address (the email appears to be different every time) with this thumbnail, just delete it. They appear to be submitting this to ANY blog with submissions open, and while some people don’t care and can stand jumpscares, others…might not be as tolerable.

Stay safe and jumpscare-free, my friends.

He choked slightly at this, touched by Frisk’s cheerful acceptance and affection. Crooning gratefully, he gave them a gentle nuzzle - wait, where was Chara going? Had he done something wrong?

Oh! His eyelights widened as he caught sight of the infant, his eyelights going a little starry as he beheld the wiggling, squealing form of Malware’s happy little baby. “Oh my stars…” He breathed, beaming as he glanced between Chara and the infant they held. “They’re so cute~!” Yeah, that was definitely a good choice, Chara, he’s making little happy noises now.

Acacia let out a small coo and giggle, now reaching out to Leeroy. This person looked cool! “Hiiiii!”

Malware walked back in with a plate of warm tacos... these were not reheated at all. Seems he decided to make them fresh just for the other. “Guess Acacia decided they wanted up.”

He walked over to set the plate down on the coffee table and smiled over to the giggling infant.

A Message I Really Think Needs to be Heard

I want to take a minute to talk about a serious issue in the RPing community.  It’s an issue that many I don’t think even realize exists. Abusive online relationships. They do happen in the rping community and there are several signs to show when someone might be one you want to look out for. It is a personal issue close to my heart as I know several people who have dealt with it, myself included.

So to try to help those in the future and to keep people wary of those types of people I have made a list of warning signs that you may see in those people who often turn out to be abusive.

First thing is first, not all abuse is physical. So that doesn’t mean that abuse can’t happen in an online setting. There is also emotional abuse and it can be just as damaging to an individual. It is often a form of cyberbullying and it is something that I think needs to be addressed.

So I have compiled a list of warning signs, things that these people often do that you should look out for.

          1.      Telling you that you can only RP with them, or only with their character. Or generally telling you not to RP with someone.

This would be a sign of them being too possessive. Not willing to let you do what you want with your account. Generally RPing is supposed to be fun and about what you want. If you want to have only one of each character or only a few RP partners, that is up to you. But you should never let someone tell you who to RP with or who you can’t RP with. It is not up to them and don’t let them think it is.

          2.      Getting mad or upset with you for not answering them right away or getting upset that you are replying to others and not them.

It’s your character and your account. That is something you should always remember. If your character wants to focus on one or two people. That’s okay. Nobody should make you feel bad for not being able to reply to them at the time for any reason. Whether it is being busy with life or just not feeling up to replying to those threads. Most people will understand and usually don’t pressure you. It’s a bad sign if someone does.

          3.      Being told on a regular basis through messages and in public posts that nobody cares and that everyone in the end always leaves or something along those lines

It is often a sign of someone trying to guilt people into staying or doing things with them. Often times it doesn’t matter if that person receives lots of love or has a lot of threads. They will still make it known that they are feeling upset and that nobody cares. They want people to feel guilty if they think about leaving and it is usually a bad sign. Though some people may make a post like that every once in a while. If you are seeing it often or being constantly reminded personally then be cautious. It is a tactic to guilt people into staying.

          4.      Being threatened or told that if you leave or don’t/do something that they will delete, harm themselves, or something similar.

Another tactic to guilt you into staying. They want you to think that you leaving or doing something they don’t like will harm them, sometimes in physical ways and it is a way to manipulate you into doing what they want. Most of the time they are not being serious and it is a sign that they themselves need help.  Help that you will not be able to provide to them no matter how much you may want to.

          5.      Telling you that you are not any good or that you stopped being good after doing something they told you not to.

They want you to think that you are not good enough to find other RP partners. Bringing you down and making you feel miserable because they are is a tactic often used by these types of people. If you don’t think you are any good then you won’t go seeking other partners for fear that they will think that as well. This is an especially damaging tactic and can cause you to feel worthless and unwanted even after a person is gone.

          6.      Getting yelled at, being attacked, or them being mean for what appears to be no real reason, then a while later apologizing. This will likely happen over and over again.

Most of the time there might not be a real reason for it. Something as simple as you talking to someone they don’t like or you not sending them enough memes or replying. They end up being mean and outright yelling at times. Then they apologize and you might think that you should give them another chance, maybe they changed, and maybe it won’t happen again. But it usually does. Many times and if it continuously happens, there is a point where you need to ask yourself is it really worth it. Because in the end, it is not anything you have done wrong and you don’t need to let yourself be attacked just because they apologize after. One of the biggest signs of abuse.

          7.      Getting annoyed with you for RPing the way you do. (whether it is because you RP with a lot of people or only a few)

If they get mad at you for you RPing how you want to, it is usually a good sign that you should steer clear of them. People like this will try to give you the idea that you are wrong and that you shouldn’t do that. In the end you RP how you want and there is no wrong way to do it. Whether you want to stick to only a few threads or you want 200 and like plotting for more. It’s about what you like. And those that enjoy RPing with you, will be patient and stick with you no matter how you want to do it.

          8.      Being attacked or called names for RPing with other people, and/or attacking your RP partners for RPing with you.

If someone outright attacks you are starts calling you names simply because you RP with others. That is a clear sign that you should avoid that person. This is supposed to be fun and there is no need to be rude to you or others for how you RP. It is especially a red flag if they also attack your RP partners. That means they are being far too possessive and avoiding and blocking would probably be the best idea in that instance.

          9.      (An, its gone too far sign) They make you overly anxious every time you see them or feeling as if you are going to panic if they message you.

If it has gotten so bad that their very presence makes you a big ball of stress or have an anxiety attack, dropping them would be the best option. Nobody should make you feel stressed and anxious when on. If the idea of them messaging you, because you are afraid of what it might say, gives you extreme anxiety. That is the time to drop, block, and do not interact or look for them in any way. It is not okay for someone to cause this.

In general, RPing is supposed to be about fun, you enjoying RPing as your muse and doing what you like to do. It is never going to be okay for others to make you think you are doing it wrong. In the end, there is no wrong way to RP. So don’t let anyone make you think that there is. If someone doesn’t like the way you RP then it is best for them to find someone else. And you should never feel bad if you think you need to drop a RP partner because they are causing you anxiety or anything of the sort. If a RP partner is causing you stress, avoid them. Stress is bad enough in real life, there is no need for people to add to it in RP.

The people that do this, honestly, might not even realize they are being abusive to someone. Maybe they have had their own issues in life and it has molded them into the way they are, but in the end, they need help, but not from you. And there is no way you are going to be able to help them. In the end, they need to realize it themselves and seek help.

These kinds of situations can have long lasting effects on the person who has dealt with it, lingering anxiety or depression, being self-conscious about everything they do, feeling they are not good enough, wanting to avoid their RP account. This is not okay and for those who suffer these issues, you are not alone. Sometimes talking about it can help, whether with a fellow RP partner you trust, or seeking out a friend in real life. Don’t keep it to yourself, because it can make the feelings worse. And even if there are those abusive RP partners out there, there are also those that are very caring and will be willing to listen.

So keep the warning signs in mind and don’t let someone treat you like this. It’s about fun not about them.

A warm rumbling of purring rose from him to meet the other’s soft emanations of contentment, and he felt little ripples of happy crossing the surface of his soul as Malware nuzzled him back. He trilled, eyelights glowing warmly, and he wondered vaguely whether he should shift into Cat Mode. The idea felt right somehow, so he did, fluffy ears and tail emerging with a slight flick. He wasn’t totally sure why he’d done that, but oh well, it just felt right.

His tail shifts to rest over Leeroy’s, the purring getting a bit louder in response. Time to nuzzle at those ears. He is a very happy cat right now it seems. This is probably the most affectionate he’s been in a while even. He’s just... going to keep being affectionate too. He’s much better about his phobia now.

“Okidoki, thanks~!” He chirped, eagerly anticipating whatever Malware chose to make, and enjoying the warm cuddle from the sweet little smol. “A-ah, I missed him too… He murmured, a regretful note tinting his voice as he gave Frisk a gentle pat on the back. “Sorry I couldn’t visit sooner… I, ah, I kinda… malfunctioned and got really lost.”

“You’re here now. That matters.” Frisk is grinning widely, happily cuddling into Leeroy’s side while Chara gets up and walks out of the room to get someone.

They have returned with a wiggling Acaia, who seems to have been awake for a bit already. Said baby is now squealing happily. “I um... thought you might like to see them.”

He was softly purring, tail flicking slightly. Seems he was content now. Just having the other back was soothing nerves he hadn’t even realized he had. “I agree.”

He’s happily nuzzling back even.

He was in no hurry to move - it had been far too long since he’d last been able to just cuddle with the other Error, and that had been one of the things clawing inside his mind while he’d been lost. “Mrrr… this is nice…” He mumbled, nuzzling the other gently.

“Dad missed you!” They seemed happy to have Leeroy around. After all the other made their dad happy so that meant they themself were happy too. They believed their dad deserved to be happy like he made everyone living here.

“My own kids are great, and my roommates can be a bit eccentric at times. But they’re nice. Even Gold is, even if he does try to act intimidating.” Malware walked up to the front door and held it open for Fisk, though Frisk was toddling out to give him a hug.

“Yay! Dad’s home!” They are a happy toddler now. They had been missing Malware since he left.

“Oh, don’t worry. I love kids, in fact, I used to be a babysitter in my timeline.” She was a babysitter for a few occasions actually, and because she cared so much for her Sans and Pap, there shouldn’t be any issues. 

When she heard the instant yelling of a Pap, it made her perk up. He seemed nice, and it made her chuckle a little with a light smile on her face. Fisk followed him through the portal once he went through, curious about the new timeline she had just entered to.

“I’m Malware. I’ll open a portal to my place for now... just so you know I’ve got three adopted kids, a nine year-old, a toddler, and an infant. So please be careful about what you say.” He’s opening a portal to just outside his house, Paps looking though it curiously, before smiling and waving at the two.

“OH I DID NOT KNOW WE WOULD BE HAVING A GUEST! I’LL JUST GET SOME SPAGHETTI GOING FOR THEM.” The taller is gone before Malware can say anything otherwise.

Fisk seemed a bit surprised by his offer. He was willing to help her? She was really grateful to have met someone this nice. The human got up and wiped her pants clean of any debris that might have gotten stuck on them. Then she smiled lightly at him. “I do need a place to stay, so I can’t really refuse that offer. Thank you.”

She then realized that she hadn’t introduced herself yet, making her advert her gaze for a moment before putting her hands in front of her. Too bad she didn’t have her gloves with her. “By the way, my name is Fisk. It is a pleasure to have met you today.”

His shadow flickered slightly, but he didn’t seem physically affected, for all that he now seemed to have three of the things. “Hmm? O-oh, yes please! Either of those would, ah, would be lovely…” He didn’t even know how long it’d been since he’d eaten anything, let alone Malware’s cooking.

“Why don’t you sit with Chara for a bit while I get you something.” And it looks like Frisk might be toddling over to see who was there. Malware’s actually purring a bit right now, just happy that Leeroy was back. “I think we have either tacos or spaghetti if you’d like that.”

The toddler is giving a wide smile as the get closer. Seems they might be getting ready to give Leeroy a hug.

“I see.” He had never seen a handplates timeline, but he didn’t like the sound of it at all. This Gaster was torturing people and it was not a pleasant thought. If he ever saw that guy near his kids or roommates there would be hell to pay. “If... you need a place to hide I can bring you to the timeline I’ve been living in. The authorities might be able to help you out.”

Chara dropped the pencil they were using and stared in shock. They hadn’t expected Malware to open a portal after finding Leeroy. “You’re... back?”

They had actually been so scared that the other might have just left their dad behind.

“Yeah, he’s back. Do you want me to get you anything Leeroy? I’ve got some leftovers I could heat up or I could make something fresh for you.” He was happy that he had found the other, but it was still kind of painful remembering that Leeroy had vanished, and the reason why just made him feel a bit more hurt. What if he had done a better job searching around the ANti-Void, maybe he could have found Leeroy then?

Leeroy was grateful that Malware didn’t seem to mind him clinging, because he honestly wasn’t sure he could just let go yet. “M-me too… I was really lost, and I couldn’t portal properly…” He’d not been at all sure whether he’d see the other again, and that had been one of the things eating away at him.

Malware had a new home, in a timeline? With a nice house and everything? He brightened, his smile a little less wobbly. “That sounds great! Has, ah, has it helped Chara? … Can I come now?”

He clung a bit tighter to Leeroy at hearing what happened. He didn’t like that the other had been so alone and unable to even get out of this place. He... didn’t want anything like that to happen to the other again.

“Yeah, it has... and you can come over anytime you want.” He carefully shifted to open a portal into his living room, Chara visible on the other side working on something. Most likely homework from their first day of the fall semester.
