This bad lady[citation needed] can fit so many complexities and nuances in them, which is the advantage of having an immortal character with a backstory that spans centuries. even if most of those centuries are woefully under-defined as of now. just means more room to add more complexities and nuances. and by "complexities and nuances" I also mean Mess.

they're so silly and so serious at the same time. and for some reason I instinctively hesitate to call their whole arc of "I must use my power more responsibly and less destructively" a redemption arc even though that's kinda exactly what it is.

once I got over my other instinctive early 2010s-fanfic-writing-advice-ingrained aversion to making a) very powerful characters and b) extremely complex and fucked up backstories the world opened up for me and Eden is proof of that I think. the most OC of all time.

EDIT: shit I should probably also talk about them but like. where to start. they're a little deity of nature and they read classic literature when it was contemporary and by god do they have Opinions on it. and they used to walk through dreams to escape a disaster they kind-of sort-of helped along but wasn't ultimately responsible for. and they keep a dream journal now.
