hey i make jokes about how much samus loves her armor and how cool it is but the connection she has with her powersuit is incredibly innate and intimate?? the cultural and emotional significance of it aside, it’s not a suit of lifeless metal, it’s a complex bio-mechanical device that, when equipped, functions as a extension of herself, both in body and mind. it’s essentially a second skin and is such an intrinsic part of her identity that wearing it isn’t a matter of ‘comfort’ so much as it is a matter of feeling whole.
