succession babbling below about possible mechanical and lore stuff

had a dream about the actor who played Roman from Succession (one of the original inspirations for this game), and he was my art teacher. everything else about that dream is irrelevant for yall. What must be known now is that I started thinking, "Can I make a tomgreg in my game?"

The answer is no, not really, because it is a psychosexual relationship that requires deep-seated & generational misogyny to exist. tomshiv would also have to exist, because it is reflective of tomgreg (if Shiv was a man, well, Tom wouldn't ever end up in the space of the Roys BUT IF HE MANAGED TO, he would be the Greg. he was the Greg. With less implied power ofc, because Greg is Roy adjacent and also a man, but his father is allegedly gay and this reflects on his own behaviors as seen by his peers/betters).

anyway, there isn't an actual real gender schism in my series. it's all pattern based + light species conflict through the existence and servitude of imps/fiends. Skipper is also in a position of power that is much greater than either tom or shiv (and roman, obviously but again the dynamics of that sibling power rotation and how their father sorts them is, a whole other thing which i simplified by squishing all three roles into Skipper themself), although there are cracks for vulnerability.

and I don't care to make Skipper a Greg, so this new character for messing with will have to be a ghoul or a fiend. someone of proximity to power but still beneath. someone who has to get by being a little sneaky and easy to corrupt bc there's already something afoul in there. hm hmmmmm and Skipper already isn't Tom either... so there must be a third member. shit this is how I write the one and only polyship into this game, huh?

anyway anyway, I'll probably figure it out at a later date, and if it doesn't end up in this game, it'll end up in the next. because psychosexual relationships are really fun to analyze!!!
