sam gets up at the crack of dawn for his run, which bucky finds absolutely absurdtm  because who the hell is running at like 6 in the morning? nobody. “goodmorning, you’re ridiculous.” is the greeting sam normally gets. “charming as ever buck.” is always the reply he gives bucky, before slipping out of the apartment, letting bucky enjoy more sleep, like normal people do sam. anywho. sam gets back around 7 to a still sleeping bucky. sam just rolls his eyes. if they have nothing to do that day the. Sam will normally just put on a show on his laptop, sit next to Bucky on the bed and just relax. by like 730 Bucky will be up and trying to get Sam to turn his laptop down while trying to subtly not subtly get closer to Sam and it’s really funny. “it’s cold and you’re warm” is Buckys justification and Sam just rolls his eyes but let’s him bc he finds it rlly adorable how Bucky just turns into a cat for no reason. by 8-830 Sam makes them breakfast because Bucky cannot cook for shit but he can bake and its getting worrisome. buckys really annoying when Sam tries to cook bc even though he’s been up for an hour at the most he still acts sleepy and will just rest against sam and again Sams find it cute bc Bucky is really lazy despite being able to throw their oven across the room like it’s nothing and it’s so stupid that it’s funny. but if they do have a mission or something then Sam will have to annoy Bucky to wake up and it would be funny if they didn’t actually have to go somewhere and Sam likes to be on time for things and Bucky is an actual cat so it gets very difficult to do so. “Sammmmmm” “Buck I love you but for the love of all that is good in this world get up”.eventually and begrudgingly, Bucky gets up when Sam threatens to dump water on him and Sam had never seen him get up faster. one time, sam just left him there bc technically he didn’t need him at the conference. he leaves a note and texts him bc he’s sappy. Bucky first tries to argue with Sam over texts. he did not win that argument whatsoever. he eventually admitted defeat and found himself flipping through a cookbook and finding a new recipe. despite the increasing anxiety and checking the time relentlessly, he finds it calming. by the time sam gets home Bucky has been a batch of chocolate chunk cookies, banana muffins and blueberry scones made. and the kitchen is an actual disaster but Sam ignores that because the image of Bucky standing over the oven with flour in his hair and only one oven mitt, he deems his heart is beating too fast for normalcy. and Bucky just starts talking and sam can only stand there shocked and in love. “Bucky, sweetheart, youve been talking for the past 5 minutes.” and Bucky just blushed, looking down at the floor. and now that sams home, and Bucky genuinely was calm, and he didn’t have to deal with press conferences, Bucky thinks that’s maybe he wants to stay home. so, after a lot of taking, Bucky starts staying home more often.
