   Already on the way to the route mentioned, Haru almost has to replay the other’s words before his feet come to a full stop. His head whips around, eyes widening as he looks over his partner. Despite his otherwise calm demeanor, Daisuke should be glad he has yet to fully throw himself into the case. As far as he was concerned, two minutes ago they didn’t have a single lead.      And all at once, it’s changed. Therefore, pivoting Haru’s course of action to the case entirely.     It seems that even life lifts at his shoulders as the precious treasure of a new case begins to unfold before his eyes. This is the reason he’s chosen his path. This is the thrill he seeks. A smile plays at his lips, paying little regard to Daisuke’s back-handed statement.     “Coming from the guy who’s stumped every one of my suggestions,” is all he says as he passes the other and hurries down the paved path towards the mess hall. “What’s he look like anyway?” Haru inquires, pulling out his phone to open up the application that HESUC had recently been installed into. It takes some toying around with, of course, but he appreciates the somewhat… simplified design that Suzue picked for ease-of-access. “You got a picture, right?”

There was sudden shift in mood the moment the millionaire mentioned about a possible lead, pulling off his sunglasses as he watched his excited partner immediately throw himself back into action on their case.

❝ If I remember correctly, you were also the one complaining about bringing HESUC along, ❞ Daisuke responded under his breath, slightly annoyed as he narrowed his eyes in response to Katou’s comment. He soon follows suit behind his partner as they both make their way down to Mess hall in hopes of catching up with their possible suspect. 

❝ I’ve only managed to get a few pictures of our possible subject, though they’re currently being processed due to their poor quality upon capture,❞ Daisuke reported, inspecting his watch and checking for updates on the rendering status of the photos as well as notes on their subject from current analysis.

❝ Between 19-21 years old ... Male ... 180 cm ... dark brown hair and green eyes, ❞ Daisuke notes, following closely behind Katou as he was once again preoccupied with HEUSC.

Preoccupied with his personal work, pale blue eyes soon drift up from his invisible keyboard towards the presence before his desk, blinking his eyes once he acknowledges the demand being made.

Finally, a breath of fresh air and an escape from the endless pressures of work..not that the millionaire worked particularly hard for such a reward of this magnitude. It was typical for Daisuke to take time off for himself, away from the hustle of everyday life, though it was rare that he invited anyone else on his personal trips outside of family and business contacts.

❝ She offered but I declined. It wouldn’t be considered a vacation if I was there, ❞ Daisuke replied, his lips making contact with the edge of his glass as he takes a sip of wine, setting his glass down once he’s satisfied with his drink. ❝ Besides she needs a break of her own. ❞

Blue-gray eyes then make contact with Katou once he hears his next concern, the corners of his lips forming crescents as he leans back into his chair, almost amused.

❝ You work way to hard so I thought it would only be appropriate to bring you along just so you can experience what true relaxation feels like, ❞ Daisuke declares, reaching for one of the various bottles that were on display on the table, figuring that the variety would help due to their vast differences in tastes. ❝ Everything here is palatable...maybe your palate isn’t quite used to such high quality ingredients? ❞

“I think it’s best off if you step away from this case.” the young child spoke, his gaze upon the stranger with an added smile on his lips, “Its not something you should be dealing with, detective.”

❝ There’s no case money can’t solve, ❞ Daisuke replied, nonchalantly exiting his vehicle as he placed his sunglasses into his inner pocket vest. Dull, blue-gray eyes make a quick surveillance of the area as he forms his own judgement about their current surrounding. There was nothing particularly out of the ordinary beyond what mundane eyes could see. While it was strange in itself seeing a young child on the scene, the elder was more intrigued about the matter of being told to stand down by someone far younger than himself.

❝ This is a case more suited for adults...I’ll send someone over to pick you up while I investigate this area further, ❞ Daisuke said in complete disregard. Little did he know about the situation he was surely about to face.

    “Daisuke, not everything can be a short cu-” he pauses, turning around when he realizes what the other is doing. He frowns a bit and shakes his head. Somewhat of a chuckle leaves his lips. “And what will we do with all the free time we have if HEUSC does all the heavy lifting for us? Stare at each other until it figures out the source?” of course he’s being a little more dramatic, but he’s yet to really understand the appeal of using HEUSC day in and day out unless they’re on a time crunch. He breathes a small, defeated smile and comes back around to the other.     A heavy hand comes to lay over Daisuke’s shoulder. He gives it a push, ushering them back where they came now that the deed’s been done. “Fine, you win, but I’m saying no to the motorcycle. You can’t drive,” Haru mumbles, quirking a knowing brow at his partner. His hand slips away, favoring the comfort of his pocket. Though, instead of beelining straight for the dormitories from where they originally came, Haru dips into a different direction.      “There’s no harm in at least enjoying the place, right? The weather’s nice. Better than the office,” at this point, he doesn’t want to spend the rest of the night laying out on the uncomfortable mattress of their shared room. “Let’s just take a detour and then we’ll go over the recordings of the mess hall.” 

❝ As long as HEUSC is accessible I see no point in not utilizing it, ❞ Daisuke responded, having been seemingly ushered with a heavy, yet guiding hand towards the spot where they had first lingered about, giving his partner a wordless glance once Katou had shot down his suggestion of acquiring a motorcycle for their daily class endeavors. Perhaps the elder couldn’t handle the speed in which he drove? It paled in comparison to other plans he had in mind when it came to solving their current mission. If only he could utilize HEUSC to it’s full capacity.

Footsteps led them into a new direction as the young detective followed along, curiosity peaking as he awaited for further instruction from Katou. ❝ You make it sound like you live there..., ❞ Daisuke commented, recalling their office back at the headquarters. It did get rather uncomfortable in there, considering how the air conditioning would break down once in a while. To Daisuke, Katou seemed like the type to be a hermit, especially to his job and the ‘art of being a true detective’.

Just as Haru was speaking, Daisuke immediately focused his attention onto one of the students that was entering Mess hall after being signaled by HESUC, careful scans indicating something suspicious as it zoomed in on the unsuspecting student who seemed to be gathered with particular friends.

❝ HESUC...Snap a screenshot for further analysis, ❞ Daisuke prompted, turning to Katou who seemed to be acting quite leisurely despite their mission. ❝ HESUC picked up on some suspicious traces from one of the students entering Mess Hall just now. We should get there and check it out unless you’re still insist on being so casual , ❞ Daisuke said, tilting a chin towards the direction of the exit.
