L-R: Oberst and General der Jagdflieger (101 victory ace) Werner Molders, Generalfeldmarschall Wilhelm Keitel, Adolf Hitler and Reichsmarschall Göring, at the Wolfschlanze, 25 July 1941, where Hitler awarded him the Knight's Cross with Oakleaves, Swords and Diamonds, the first of 27 men to earn the decoration. Mölders was the first man in history to shoot down 100 aircraft, although not the first man to shoot down 100 aircraft in WW2, as some of his victories were scored in Spain when he was flying with the Condor Legion.
