Considering my library is in my basement, many is the day that I wish I had a replicator (y'know, the first marker that this is fantasy) and some form of delivery system for the latest whatevers - games, movies, DVD sets, books, etc. - and then the ability to let it just sink further and further into the earth after taking all my things down there, and never emerging.

Of course, if I did that, there ARE a handful of drawbacks, given the unfinished nature of said basement at the moment - no bathroom, minimal outlets, no computer set up... Plus all the additional junk from several years-deceased family that I have no use for, taking up valueable space that could instead house more of my things.

Still, tis the dream on more than one occasion.

The pharaohs and their tombs were on to something, is what I'm saying here.

There's a whole bunch of TikTok drama at the moment after someone posted a video asking "would you rather be alone in the woods with a bear or a strange man?"

And the men are *very upset* that nearly every woman replied with "....obviously a bear."

It's honestly wild (I think some of these guys think that bears are movie monsters, craving human flesh).

But it boils down to this- they want you to expect the worst from the bear and the best from the stranger, and they are deeply offended that this isn't the case. 🤷

i cannot emphasise enough how much you need to create something. anything. it doesn't matter if you suck. you don't need to monetise it, or make it your career. you can restart an old hobby; you can start from scratch. it doesn't matter. you just need to hold something and be able to say "i did that". baking, drawing, painting, writing, coding, crafts, whatever. make something ! you cannot have all your hobbies be a form of consumption. it's fun, it's great in its own right. but the single best action to make yourself feel better, to calm your mind, to gain self esteem, is to Create
