Unfortunately the 24 hours only releases and the extensive merch lines that all come with digital US ONLY downloads then make me cynical that a big factor is just driving sales at specific times and trying to ensure a very high first week album number in the US (as each merch purchase ridiculously is allowed to count cause of the unrequested digital download.) I can just about argue that they think limited releases makes it more “special” but then when someone might have panic bought a tee and then they release the whole line it’s hard not to be cynical about it. No other artist that I know of that pushes this limited merch thing. @taylornation

you know what is shitty? taylor nation still not recognising that internationals buy merch too! like i'm sorry but it is bullshit to release the merch daily for 24hrs and the fans who want and can afford it need to do so sometimes in multiple orders and that shit costs alot between shipping and conversion rates AND THEN AT THE END OF THE WEEK THEY RELEASE IT ALL AT ONCE!!!!!! 😡 (hello how rude can you be like internationals could of just purchases all in one go!)

The Outside was written Feb. 13, 2004 and finished Feb. 14, 2004. Taylor wrote that she finished it on Valentine’s Day only because she was single and had nothing better to do that day

Red (the song) was written on September 7th - 8th, 2011 on a red-eye flight home to Nashville Taylor took because she was homesick and missed Andrea and Austin

Red (the album) got its name on September 8th, 2011 when Taylor recorded Red (the song) with its producer Nathan. She recorded another song the following day for the album (song name not given)

Smoky Black Nights (unreleased) was written on May 17, 2003

Not One Day (unreleased) was written on May 17, 2003

Speak Now (the album) got its title on April 13, 2010

Taylor was dissatisfied with “half” the songs she wrote for Speak Now and kept reworking them and writing better songs before finalizing the album
