Will it be possible to play MC who loves their kid but feels awkward around her and doesn't know how to deal with children / isn't good at showing feelings?

That would be pretty interesting

It's definitely something I want to implement! I'm still trying to figure out the writing for an awkward parent, but I would imagine this is the most realistic dynamic between MC and Luminosa - after all, MC has never had much time for her while they were learning to be heir (even less so now that they're monarch), so there's not a whole lot of chances to interact with their daughter. And children grow up so quickly, their interests and behaviours always changing - I imagine most MCs would have a bit of a hard time keeping up with Lumi, despite their best efforts.

hiya! this looks so cool already, i cant wait <33 out of pure curiosity, did you get the name solanaceae (hope i got it right :,) ) from the game "I was a Teenage Exocolonist"? it appears in nearly the exact same way in game and i just love when games i have brainrot of have these sorts of links/similarities !! <3

I did not, I've actually never heard of that game (though after some brief research that's definitely something I'll be checking out when I have the time)!

I got Solanaceae from the scientific name of a family of plants (commonly known as the deadly nightshade family, despite containing a lot of useful and non-deadly plants, like potatoes and tomatoes). I just really like flowers/plants, the names always sound nice and I get to use flower symbolism :D Helianthus, for example, is the genus of plants containing sunflowers, and Fialova is a name that means purple/violet, as in the sweet violet flower.

The Archivists

Also known as Secretkeepers, Archivists are the servants of Thescamor who serve in the Court. There are at most only two Archivists at any given period of time. They are chosen from the best and brightest the Temple of Thescamor has to offer; as such, they are well-versed in the arcane, and are often among the Blessed.

The main duty of the Archivists is as caretakers of The Garden. The most restricted section of the Royal Archives, The Garden contains texts from ancient authors, religious scripts, magical artefacts left behind by Thescamor, and the like. Not even the monarch has complete access, for some items can only be handled by those who have devoted their lives to the Divine.

The Archivists also have many secondary duties; for example, they oversee all religious functions within the palace, with the exception of the monarch's coronation, which is directed by the High Priest(ess). They also function as intermediaries between the palace and the Temple.

When a prospective trainee takes up the mantle of trainee Archivist, they swear a vow of silence - a binding spell is cast on their tongue by a holy instrument from the Temple, imbued with the power of Thescamor. This vow can be broken once and only once, for the consequence of doing so is the severing of the tongue, thus ensuring the Archivist's silence forevermore.

The current Archivist is Dolion; his successor is Fialova Solanaceae, only recently chosen to train beneath him. Mysterious figures they are for their self-imposed silence and secrecy. What truths of the world have they learned from their time in The Garden?

Will MC's mother appear?

There will be mentions of her from those who remember her, and MC may be able to ask certain people about what their mother was like at some point. Otherwise, there are currently no plans to include former Queen Consort Aurelia in the main storyline (this may change, though).

important question, can the mc be playable as trans(as in trans woman and man) and/or non-binary?

really interested in this story regardless. excited to spoil Lumi!! :o)

A non-binary/gender neutral MC is absolutely possible! NB MC's will be referred to as the Monarch instead of King/Queen, and you'll definitely have the option to be trans! Most likely it won't play a huge part in the story overall, but I want to give everyone the option to be seen :D

(We love Luminosa in this household, spoil her to your heart's content >:D)

And yeah, I get what you mean! From today's perspective, the obvious solution is to just adopt to end the cursed bloodline, so looking back on the past when "royal blood" was everything (cough cough HAPSBURGS cough cough) it can be a little bit funny to see what a big deal they were making out of it.
