I killed the rat king of New York and inherited his throne by right of conquest or whatever, but I never took the rat oaths so I can speak to and command rats and they are compelled to obey, but they formally elected a rat president last year. I don't have any formal power in their social hierarchy but I have very real concrete magical power over them. I guess the title gets passed to my eldest son unless a rat kills me at some point.

Gonna 6e real, it legit 6ugs me when people see anime only fans of dungeon meshi discussing the most recent events in the anime and then respond with "wow, anime only fans don't know that-" like, yeah, of course we don't know what happens in the later parts of the story. I for one am sticking to the anime first because I wanna pace myself with it and don't wanna finish it all at once. I wanna read the manga too, 6ut I wanna experience the story slowly my first time through.

I don't wanna know what happens after episode 17 until next week when episode 18 is out and I can see what happens next. If I really wanna know the full context I will read ahead 6ut I'd rather go through slowly and fully enjoy the flavor of this lovely prepared meal.
