I’m not gunna lie, two months is not as long as I thought I’d been away for

I don’t really have an excuse for my absence, only that life got busy (long story short I’m moving out HOW HELLA IS THAT) and I kinda lost muse for a while

and I still kind of have, Jennu just seems to not want to play with me recently (altho for some reason only in canon?? what’s going on there I don’t even know) and I have no ideas for what to do with him so until that happens he’ll still be kinda quiet maybe he’ll just get a reboot I’m not sure yet

I still want do RWBY AU though so you haven’t gotten rid of Captain Jerk that easily, if Captain Jerk he still is

so hopefully I’ll be making a comeback with Jennu (and Morgan too, I’ve missed him, Midnight, Mohan and Fang will likely stay quiet for the time being) and sorry for disappearing on everyone

It had been a quiet birthday. Almost felt like there hadn’t been a birthday at all. He wasn’t sure if he was ok with that. He’d received various texts wishing him a happy birthday and his sister had called too, but it wasn’t the same as actually being home. He kind of felt cheated.

Still, his brother had gotten his Axew back, that was definitely a good thing. It was a little damaged and dented but nothing he couldn’t fix, it was all just cosmetic, thankfully. Obviously the people who had been handling it didn’t know how to treat it. Right now he was installing a tracker. There was no way he was going to lose it again.

His phone rang on the workbench next to him and he moved the screwdriver to his mouth so he could answer it.

“‘Ello?” he said around the tool.

“Hey, Jennu.”

He held the phone against his ear with his shoulder so he talk properly. “Hey Ara. What do I owe the pleasure?”

“Well, happy birthday first of all, sorry I didn’t catch you on Sunday, it was mad busy.”

“Eh, that’s no problem. It was a quiet birthday anyway.”

“I bet that was weird.”

“You have no idea. But Sparx got my Axew back!”

“Great! Glad it got back to you.”

“So am I.”

“Anyway, the other reason I was calling was, well, how do you fancy coming to live in Hoenn?”

He almost dropped the screwdriver. “Say what?”

“I mean, not permanently, for a few months or so.”

“Why?”

“Why not? You could do with a change of scenery.”

“...Do you need me for something?”

There was a pause.

“Slightly.”

“Slightly?”

“Ok, very. Someone’s been asking for us.”

“Us? All of us?”

“Yeah, all three of us. Nothing’s happened yet but... well, I’d just feel safer if you were here. I can put you up, I’ll cover the cost of the flight, whatever.”

“Alright, I’ll come to Hoenn. Have you told Midnight any of this?”

“Not yet, but I will. What I told him depended on what you said.”

“Ok. I’ll try and be on a flight by Sunday.”

He heard a sigh of relief on the other end of the line. “Thanks Jen. I can’t wait to see you.”

“Jennu... Jennu... Jennu wake up!”

“Mrgh...” Jennu opened his eyes to find the excited face of his brother looming over him. “What?”

“I’ve got something for you, come on get up.”

“Fuck off Sparx I’m not getting up until I have to.” It was his birthday, and he wanted to sleep, everything else could wait. “Wah!”

His brother had other ideas, however, as he was lifted straight from the bed and onto his feet.

“It’s good, you’re gunna love it! C’mon go go go!”

Jennu was pushed ushered out of his room and down the stairs. Leaning against his brother’s movement did little to stop him, but he did it nonetheless to show his displeasure about being woken up and pulled out of bed against his will. And on his birthday no less.

“What am I supposed to be looking at?” he asked, noting the living room was pretty much as it should be (save for the fact that Shishin had taken the left side of the couch instead of the right).

“It’s in the workshop, on the bench,” said Sparx. “Go on, go look.”

Jennu sighed and made his way into the workshop, half wondering what the hell his brother had gotten so hyped up on and whether he should make a note of getting rid of it. Poking his head in the workshop, he looked over towards the bench.

“Ugh. It’s just my Axew, Sparx,” he grumbled as he headed back upstairs. “There was no need to wake me up for that.”

Sparx waited, listening as the footfalls upstairs stopped and the realisation kicked in.

Jennu bolted down the stairs and threw himself at his brother. “YOU GOT IT BACK,” he wailed. He’d pretty much given up on seeing his mechanical Axew again.

“Happy birthday Jennu.”

Hello! So! Basically, ive been feeling a bit down about art recently. And whilst working on commissions, an idea for these babies came to me. So I too ka bit of time for myself and just went for it. They aren’t all complete, but im away this weekend and just really wanted to post them. I will probably finish them all and neaten them up for DA and repost onto here.  I’m happy with the concept, because I really loved thinking about how these things would work.

 Now, this is a VERY rough idea of what I imagine the Honedge life cycle to be like. A proper pokedex entry will be included with the update. But it gives you jist of my thoughts J Hope you enjoy! (oh and sorry for the wall of text to follow!)
