The couple brought this apartment on the penthouse floor of an apartment complex in the central district when they first moved back to New Orleans as it was close to Keelin's work (e.g. the hosptial). They had planned to move out into a more family friendly place when they had kids, but they fell in love with the penthouse and never left. They raised their kids in the penthouse.

☆ﾟ.*・ ◞ candice patton / cis female / african-american / she/her ——— is that KEELIN MIKAELSON (NEE TAYLOR) on bourbon street ? the 40 / 40 year old WEREWOLF who stay in the CENTRAL DISTRICT DOWNTOWN ? i heard they are MARRIED to FREYA MIKAELSON. they are notoriously known for being UNDERSTANDING AND KIND but also STUBBORN AND IMPULSIVE. which is probably why they are considered THE CENTRE PIERCE around town.  i wonder if they had their tarot cards reading, yet? either way, the cards on the table will reveal their fate soon enough

Before we meet Keelin, she was a normal girl (for a werewolf). Keelin was raised by older parents. A couple who found her outside the firehouse where her father worked. She doesn’t know her birth parents. Her birth mother a child from the local werewolf pack (and daughter of the werewolf alpha from the Malaraux bloodline) when she got pregnant and decided to dropped Keelin off at the firehouse, not prepared for the future of being a mother.

Keelin had considered going looking for information on her birth parents till she was 14 when she triggered her werewolf gene when she accidentally killed someone at a Halloween party. She handed another child a chocolate bar that had nuts in it and the person has an allergic reaction and died, triggering Keelin's werewolf gene. After that she didn’t want to know more about her birth parents, to upset over what happened. Her adopted parents loved her and helped her to rebuild after the trauma. She went to college, wanting to do something more with her life, to make up for the life she had taken. She went to college knowing she wanted to be a doctor. It was during med school that Keelin lost her parents, and her world was changed, and she had to go on with her dreams alone.

While still grieving her parents, Keelin met Freya in a bar where she was still in med school; and the two hit it off. They started dating shortly after, living in Keelin's home town till they returned to New Orleans so that Freya could open the Mikaelson Boarding School. They got married in New Orleans and starting a family shortly after. She currently lives in New Orleans with Freya; they have their own house in the central district neighbourhood and are raising their kids there. Keelin works at the New Orleans hospital and on the side at the Mikaelson Boarding School.

Wait is that… CANDICE PATTON? No, it can’t be, it’s just KEELIN MIKAELSON (NEE TAYLOR), a 67/32 year old WEREWOLF. SHE is MARRIED to FREYA MIKAELSON. SHE is UNDERSTANDING AND LOYAL but can also be AGGRESSIVE AND HESITANT and classifies HERSELF as HOMOSEXUAL. SHE is hiding that SHE WONDERS IF HER AND FREYA WILL EVER GET SPACE FROM THE OTHER MIKAELSONS, but I wonder how long that will stay hidden in Mystic Falls and New Orleans.

The not so positive start turned into something amazing for them, leading to their beautiful family with the help of their friend Vincent.

She currently lives in New Orleans in the Compound with Freya, after raising their kids there.

✧.*  Is that ( KEELIN MIKAELSON ) walking through the town? They bear an eerie resemblance to ( CANDICE PATTON ) but she is nothing like them, rumor has it they are an ( 37 year old WEREWOLF ). We’ve heard that they’re ( + UNDERSTANDING & - HESITANT ).

Keelin and Freya moved to Mystic Falls shortly after the last time they saw Hope. Keelin got transferred to the hospital when Freya wanted to open the Mikaelson College. Though the family loved New Orleans given that their son Nik would soon be attending the Salvatore School and they wanted to be close by, it seems like the easy choice for Keelin. 

Freya and Keelin started trying for kids just after they got married, having Nik Mikaelson with the help of Vincent. Keelin is also at the moment 8 months pregnant with her and Freya’s second born.

Going to have it that Keelin was adopted out of her family (and away from the Malraux which is why she survived so long) after her parents left her at a firehouse when they realized that Lucien‘s followers were hunting the Malraux pack. She was adopted by an elderly couple and named Keelin Taylor, who died when Keelin was in her teens.
