True, and this is what I sort of assumed. I would say that they were probably 17-18 years old. I’m 18 years old myself, but still came across Eiffel in 2010, and I live in the United States. I think I was most shocked that they hadn’t even heard Blue Da Ba Dee before.
And I’m sure they have heard their songs on the radio before, especially since Europe has 90’s/2000’s Eurodance/Italodance stations everywhere. Hopefully someday they’ll figure it out…

Today I was on the train, coming back from the city, and there were an bunch of Italian high school/secondary school exchange students who sat next to me and in the seats around me. I was having various discussions with them, when they started talking about music, I mentioned that one of my favorite bands was from Italy. When they inquired in regards to which band I liked, I proudly stated "Eiffel 65" expecting a huge response.
They all stared at me in confusion.
None of these kids knew who Eiffel 65 was.
And they were from Italy.
One girl knew who Gabry was, once I mentioned "The DJ Gabriele Ponte", and she also knew about Franco Battiato, and the Sanremo music festival, but still, nothing about Jeffrey, Maury or even Blue Da Ba Dee.
I don't know what to say. They better get on Google and research Eiffel when they get home. They are an important part of Italy's music history, and always will be.

Ylvis - Blue Da Ba Dee
To those of you who aren't familiar with the musical/comedy duo Ylvis, they run a late-night talk show in their home country of Norway, doing music videos, skits, interviews and pranks. Each time they open their show, they pick a well-known song (usually with a faster, modern beat) and they try to sing it in a swing-like showtune format.
It looks like "Blue" threw them off, but it's incredibly hilarious watching them try to make something out of it and screw up the lyrics.

This is a fantastic interview that was done with Gianfranco last month. If you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend that you do.
It is really nice to see an interview regarding some of the things E65 did back in the late 90's - Early 2000's. Although we've heard some of these questions asked before, there are others that provide a unique insight on Eiffel 65's previous work, and some of their more recent achievements.

Main points of Eurodance songs: (and how they differ and compare with songs from Eiffel 65's "Europop").
Distinctly repetitive and noticeable baseline.
Signature: almost always 4 x 4 time beat.
Catchy keyboard/synthesizer rift.
Length: Longer than most, with tracks averaging 4 to 6 minutes. (Europop is no different, with only two songs under 4 minutes.)
Theme: Most Eurodance songs of the 90's specifically, were about love, peace, and overcoming emotions. (Europop took this to a different level, with some songs having little to no meaning, to songs that carry extremely deep meanings.)
BPM: The Beats Per Minute of most Eurodance songs range from 110 to 150 BPM.
Strong focus on female vocals, of which many sound very similar. (Eiffel 65 is an exception of this, as they didn't have any female vocals in their first album. If you look back at Bliss Team tracks though, this is different. In other words, music by the Bliss Team was much closer to what is though of as classic 90's Eurodance in many ways...)
Synthesizer arpeggios in some songs. (With Eiffel 65, the only arpeggio in Europop can be found in "The Edge" )

Answer to question #7 Across on your Eiffel 65 crossword puzzle will not fit in the spaces provided, and does not work with the vertical line that intercepts it.
Hi! And thanks for taking the time to send me this message. :-)
I checked it, and it seems like it works...
#7 Across is: V o c o d e r. It's a vocal effect used in some of Eiffel 65's music.
# 3 Down is: T M O H. An acronym for "Too Much Of Heaven", E65's 3rd single.
It seems to work out for me, but if there is any further confusion, feel free to message this blog!

Hello to all of my followers:
I am here to announce that I will not be posting here frequently anymore, due to the lack of news regarding Eiffel 65. My ask box is always open for questions and suggestions, and so this blog will not be closing.
If anything significant happens in the world of Eiffel 65, or any of it's members, I will make note of it here.
Thank You!

I would like to hear the song "Now is Forever" without any vocal effects. It would be interesting to hear, and it would make the song much better, in my opinion.

While watching old Bliss Corporation stuff, I notice this guy that looks kind of like Jeffrey, but I think he's from Da Blitz...
You mean Simon Pastore? Hmm... Let's take a look at page 34 of the Definitive Field Guide of Eurodance. That might help you to better distinguish the two singers...

If you haven't heard it yet, here is Jeffrey Jey's new single, "The Color Inside Her".
I think it is a unique composition...

So, the Eiffel 65 forums are apparently closing down on February 28th...
This really is depressing. Here is a link to the topic about it closing down:

(I posted in the topic as well, which is why I'm not writing my "mini-rant" in this post.)
