What’s new...

My YouTube friends are coming up with some fic based on RP. My favorite Bloody Crow friend actually mixed his lore with others. Including Xylia Fox from YouTube. They are doing a bit of Collab Lore along with RP and fun. And it will be turned into fics and different ideas being put together. Make something new. It’s mainly fun but the ideas are interesting. And even Non-canon scenarios as well as AUs just made for fun but messes with feels. It will eventually be on AO3. And individual work being put together as well. Can’t wait!

This will be based on my Cursed Dark Hunter and a small human child he has surprisingly adopted as his own. Although he doesn't see her as a daughter figure. He sees her as a smol mortal human child he had found in the Forbidden woods. And ever since he has adopted her, they have a Father-daughter relationship. Even if neither of them see it that way and remain clueless. And since he has adopted Genevieve the choir baby child. In other words, he is unable to realize he is practically a father. Adelram is incapable of feeling love or emotions, although he's capable of appreciating. He's a cursed hunter, and apart of his curse is not being able to feel love, lust, or any emotions other than wrath. But even wrath is absent majority of the time. Also notably, Adelram isn't human. Tied with his particular curse, he's something I call an Abyssal. Something not particularly Soulsborne related alone. Honestly it's something I created before the soulsborne series. Long before... He may not be human, although he mainly takes the form of a human hunter. And it's the form he's most comfortable with due to it being the form he was first born as.

Notes on Eileen the Crow

There’s an interesting tidbit found in the item description of Eileen the Crow’s equipment that I never really see talked about:

Hunters of Hunters dress as crows to suggest sky burial.

What’s “sky burial”? Sky burial is a practice enacted in desert and mountain regions, most notably Tibet, in which the dead are ritually put in a high place and their body is eaten by birds. This sends them to the afterlife. For more information, check out Sinclair Lore’s videos on the subject, which introduced me to the topic, or the wikipedia page, which provides sources for further reading.

This definition in mind, is it not fitting that Eileen the Crow dresses as a bird as she delivers her marks, blood-drunk hunters, to the afterlife, literally and figuratively, just like the birds which enact sky burial? It’s interesting, too, because the birds eat the body, and consumption (of blood, cannibalism, etc) is a common theme throughout Bloodborne.

In addition to indicating sky burial, her mask resembles that of a medieval European plague doctor (it’s even stuffed with herbs like that of one), another symbol of death this time bringing to mind the Black Death that swept across Europe. This is the connotation most people think of when they see Eileen’s design, but I think just as, if not more, important is the sky burial suggestion.
