            the  pure  adrenaline  pumping  through  his  veins  seems  to  have  cassius  pulsating  .  whenever  the  two  played  against  one  another  ,  it  was   a  back  and  forth  type  scenario  :  cassius  would  win  ,  then  elton  would  win  ,  with  a  pattern  following  .  there  was  no  way  cassius  was  going  to  lose  .  the  second  he  sends  the  ball  whizzing  over  the  net  ,  cassius  knows  he  served  it  much  better  than  he  had  before  .  if  anything  ,  he  was  ready  to  hand  elton  his  ass  on  a  silver  platter  .  cassius  widens  his  stance  a  bit  as  he  prepares  for  the  other  to  return  his  serve  ,  twirling  the  racquet  in  his  hand  and  bouncing  on  the  balls  of  his  feet  a  bit  as  he  watched  elton  dive  for  the  ball  ,  but  instead  ends  up  hitting  the  pavement  with  a  harsh  thud  .  it  takes  everything  for  cassius  to  not  crack  up  at  the  sight  .  the  laugh  starts  low  in  his  belly  ,  rising  up  his  frame  in  the  form  of  a  warm  hug  before  it  comes  spilling  past  his  lips  .  he  drops  his  own  racquet  and  hunches  forward  with  his  hands  on  his  knees  in  a  poor  attempt  to  calm  himself  down  .  small  chuckles  past  his  brims  as  he  returned  to  his  full  height  and  jogged  over  ,  slowing  to  a  walk  before  extending  his  hands  to  help  elton  up  .  there’s  still  a  slight  grin  on  his  face  and  he  purposefully  blocks  the  sun  while  his  arm  remains  extended  .  ‘  wanna  call  it  truce  ?  ’  he  asks  ,  quirking  a  brow  as  he  waits  for  a  response  .  ‘  oh  come  on  ,  you  know  you  love  me  .  ’

         embarrassment  was  evidently  written  over  his  features  in  the  form  of  a  flush  creeping  throughout  his  neck  to  his  cheeks  as  he  lay  helplessly  on  the  ground  .  his  bent  knees  came  out  ,  laying  straight  while  he  threw  his  arms  out  and  stretched  them  after  admitting  defeat  to  himself  .  there  was  laughter  in  the  distance  and  it  slowly  got  closer  and  closer  until  a  hand  was  above  him  .  the  sun  was  beating  down  on  him  ,  causing  his  almond  shaped  eyes  to  squint  into  crescent  moons  while  a  scowl  covered  his  lips  and  a  deep  furrow  marred  his  brow  line  as  cassius  had  his  entertainment  for  the  afternoon  .  in  the  end  ,  elton  was  shameless  about  most  things  ,  so  he  sucked  the  embarrassment  up  with  a  loud  groan  --  possibly  a  growl  ,  before  blindly  reaching  up  to  take  ahold  of  the  extended  hand  .  the  other  pulled  him  up  rather  easily  and  it  caused  a  raise  in  one  of  his  eyebrows  ,  his  train  of  thought  immediately  going  south  before  he  was  brought  back  from  his  reverie  at  the  sound  of  their  voice  .  “  a  truce  ?  “   he  inquired  incredulously  while  gaping  at  the  other  .  of all things  ,  he  hadn’t  expected  that  .  it  took  a  moment  ,  but  he  dropped  their  linked  hands  and  lifted  his  own  to  playfully  shove  at  cassius’s  chest  before  stepping  back  and  trying  to  inspect  his  injured  elbow  .  “  never  a  truce  .  just  a  ...  maybe  a  pause  on  today’s  match  .  is  this  bleeding  ?  “

          it was hard to make friends , that keeping them was even harder - especially when they’re from new york . not that kylie didn’t manage to create close friendships with people from new york , it’s just most of them were too annoying to be friends with . elton proved to be different , and she definitely had fun being around him . “ boo ! “ she surprises , coming from behind , her palms on his back . “ did i leave you waiting long ? “ she asks , knowing she was probably just a little bit late .

        a  shiver  ran  through  his  body  as  he  waited  for  his  friend  to  appear  .  he  should  have  known  better  --- -  when  he  said  eight  o’clock  ,  he  should  have  showed  up  at  eight  thirty  on  his  own  and  he’d  still  have  been  there  before  kylie  .  not  wanting  to  go  inside  without  her  ,  for  fear  of  being  rude  and  making  her  have  to  walk  into  the  bar  alone  ,   he  stood  outside  in  his  winter  coat  swaying  side  to  side  on  his  feet   in  an  attempt  to  keep  him  moving  and  his  blood  circulating  in  the  cold  weather  .  when  small  hands  were  on  his  back  ,  he  gasped  quietly  and  turned  to  meet  a  smiling  kylie  .  even  though  wanted  to  be  upset  for  waiting  outside  for  a  while  ,  her  smile  caused  his  own  lips  to  involuntarily  quirk  up  at  the  corners  .  “  yeah  ,  i  have  frostbite  or  some  shit  already  .  can’t  feel  my  junk  .  can’t  feel  my  legs  .  maybe  my  lower  body  entirely  .  “  he  jested  ,  reaching  for  the  door  handle  and  pulling  it  open  ,  stepping  aside  so  she  could  enter  before  him  .

gabe was way to hyped and the complete opposite of elton, the vibes were off and he didn’t like it. he took the glass and threw it back in one gulp before setting the empty glass down on the table. “lightweight?” he questioned with a small chuckle. “makes you nothing but a clown if you can’t even keep up kid. what’s wrong? we ain’t crying in the club tonight. we’re partying until we can’t feel our fucking faces.”

      “  a  lightweight  ?  me  ?  i’m  offended  .  “  elton  definitely  was  .  how  easily  gabe  threw  back  the  cup  of  hennessy  had  the  raven  haired  male  internally  cringing  .  he  wouldn’t  be  able  to  do  that  without  some  sort  of  chaser  ,  anything  to  get  that  awful  feeling  of  vomit  from  bubbling  up  .  “  fuck  it  ,  okay  .  let’s  --  -  my  nose  is  already  numb  so  i’m  half  way  there  .  “  his  shoulders  pulled  forward  into  an  animated  shrug  at  their  question  ,  reaching  for  another  full  glass  on  their  table  and  tossing  it  back  between  his  parted  lips  .  he  swallowed  ,  though  his  body  visibly  shook  and  eyes  scrunched  shut  tight  as  the  liquid  burnt  its  way  down  his  throat  .  “  i  don’t  cry  in  the  club  , “  he  muttered  to  himself  ,  though  he  knew  he  probably  did  resemble  someone  who  was  sulking  .

“Of course I turned you in, I’m a police officer, I made an oath ! ! ” He defends his fictional self, arms still crossed. There are FEW people Jordan feels he can be himself around     clumsy, doofy, almost ABSTRACT      and Jordan NEVER expected Elton to be one of them. But his lightheartedness, the way his HEAD WAS COMFORTABLE IN THE CLOUDS, Jordan found a sense of comfortability (even if he didn’t always get Elton’s jokes or think they were always all that funny ) in the other. Maybe they seemed different on the outside in the way that Elton seems to ALWAYS be wearing some kind of emotion while Jordan seems remote of any, they BOTH seem to have more than they let on. “That’s all you care about ? ? You’re a pig. I’ve lost my appetite.” He pushes his plate away from him ( ALL in good humor ), shaking his head at the other. “Cop me is better without you, anyway.”

         “  i  get  that  ,  but  like  ,  we’re  supposed  to  be  in  love  here  .  how  are  you  going  to  turn  me  in  after  we’ve  fallen  in  love  and  done  all  this  stuff  together  ?  “   he  questioned  with  wide  eyes  ,  ones  that  resembled  a  doe  look  in  his  best  attempt  at  looking  innocent  and  heartbroken  .  snatching  his  phone  back  ,  he  continued  to  scroll  through  the  fictional  story  on  his  screen  with  a  grin  while  still  chewing  the  food  in  his  mouth  .  “  of  course  it’s  all  i  care  about  .  i  need  to  know  ,  “   he  finished  with  a  breathy  chuckle  .  elton’s  gaze  moved  from  his  phone  to  where  jordan  was  pushing  away  his  plate  of  food  before  he  dropped  his  phone  from  his  grip  to  the  table  with  a  quiet  thud  .  “  whatever  ,  more  for  me  .  thanks  ,  brother  .  “  with  that,  he  reached  out  to  grab  at  the  fork  on  their  plate  with  his  quickest  instincts  and  stuffing  it  into  the  food  until  a  large  amount  was  on  the  metal  object  --  -  bringing  it  to  his  lips  and  shoving  it  in  his  mouth  .

it  was  unfortunately  quite  common  for  east  to  walk  home  drunk,  seeing  as  there  was  a  bar  within  a  2  mile  radius.  he  wasn’t  one  to  care  much  about  status,  or  where  he  was  seen.  as  long  as  they  served  alcohol,  he  didn’t  care  how  cheap  it  was.  although  intoxicated,  he  still  couldn’t  help  but  spot  elton  walking  nearby,  leading  the  musician  to  dramatically  hold  his  hand  up  to  his  mouth  and  shout  far  too  loud  for  the  distance  between  them,  “ eltieeee! ”

            at  the  sound  of  his  name  being  called  ,  elton’s  head  snapped  up  in  the  direction  of  the  voice  .  spotting  east  on  the  other  side  of  the  street  ,  brown  hues  nearly  rolled  behind  his  head  .  it  wasn’t  that  elton  disliked  the  other  ,  he  didn’t  really  dislike  anyone  ,  but  he  always  found  a  way  to  be  around  whenever  the  male  was  in  a  sour  mood  .  it  was  late  ,  elton  was  just  finished  with  a  random  photo  shoot  in  the  city  ,  and  he  was  cold  .  “  eastttttt  ,  “  he  shouted  back  in  a  feigning  tone  of  excitement  .  “  what  are  you  doing  out  this  late  ?  party  ?  “  the  male  inquired  passively  as  he  approached  his  friend  with  hands  buried  in  his  coat  pockets  .
