What is your DR? Is it a TV show, a movie, a book, or maybe an original situation? - good ol fame dr! so,,, original situation ? hard to say bc i made it initially to be on the *set* of a movie. this is a sort of idk / im bald / any other infinitely nuanced answer type deal

If your DR is based on pre-existing media, did you change anything, or did you add any details? - my dr isnt based on any media but i do change things about the media im involved in, but thats just changing any racist / misogynistic / otherwise iffy stuff (late 80s - u know the deal :/)

What are you most excited to do when you shift there? - my closet!! im so excited to get to wear clothes + accessorise in a way that actually represents me. my kitty also, ill be there soon ms yvonne!!!!

How would you describe your DR's aesthetic? - whimsigoth / corporate goth / frutiger aero (in terms of city layout) / celestial pastels / i like a lot of aesthetics so its tough to narrow it down

What is your favorite place in your DR? - my home!! both my house in new york AND my lake house in new hampshire, theyre just so comfortable :)

If you scripted scenarios, which one is your favorite? - ur making me pick one?! ouhhhghggh.... maybeeee my first day of work ? not a scenario as much as a whole ass day but im a broad thinker (the broad thinkerrrrrrr) so

What is your safe word/action? - just simply saying "i'd like to go back" and meaning it!

What is your name in your DR? - marley jo veitch (sharing a middle name with my grandma!!)

Who are you in your DR? What are your defining traits? - ohhh this is tuff. a storyteller, i suppose? i just want to tell stories in as many mediums as possible (poetry, fiction novels, music, music ABOUT a character i created, standup, acting, screenwriting, you name it!)

What do you look like in your DR? - i mostly just look like me, but a bit more like a family member, and sorta mixed with dodie clark / audrey hepburn / whatever

What do you sound like in your DR? - i sound like my crself but. scottish

What's an interesting fact about your DR-self? - my drself is mostly just me so i'll give two, one fun fact about me that applies to both my cr and my dr, and one that just applies to my dr.

both: i have something similar to premature ventricular contractions (PVCs), which essentially means that my heart misplaces a beat every now and then, so my heart skips a beat, then has an extra beat. i have no underlying heart conditions so this is entirely harmless and has no effect on my life, just makes my heartbeat sound a lil weird!

just dr: i lived in scotland with my parents up until i was 17, then moved to the US in (was that the bite of) 1987 to live with my grandparents and siblings. and then moved out as soon as i turned 18 just cuz i wanted my own place. (also cut off my parents entirely in my dr - for cr reasons womp womp)

How did you first find out about shifting? - i think someone posted about a time they accidentally shifted to killing stalking (the manwha) and i was like. what the hell does THAT mean

What was your first shifting attempt like? - entirely uneventful seeing as i had absolutely no idea what i was doing

What is your favorite shifting method? - my fav method is what i call the shia labeouf method (just do it)

What is something that gives you motivation to shift? - weirdly enough, knowing how vast the world is and how many people are consciously experiencing life as the exact same time as me? and the fact that there's infinite space outside of earth, the sheer size of existence, essentially.

What is one piece of advice you would give to other shifters? - dont base ANY of your journey off of what other people are doing. whether that be in terms of methods, journeys, drs, anything! do what you want to do, not what's cool / popular / least cringy / whatever the hell else.
