sEnte-se (2024)

Work in progress.

The project is an urban intervention that combines audiovisual with augmented reality and artistic installation. "sEnte-se" ("take a sEat") seeks to explore the reason behind the placement of benches, observing what kind of invitation can be made to passersby and what is the interest in the specific point of view that each of these urban furniture offers. The title of the project is an invitation to sit on these benches, with the clue of an unexpected element (represented by the capital "e" in "sit"), carrying the idea of displacement or prominence (by turning the letter E 90 ° clockwise, it resembles a backless seat). Thinking about the sensitivity necessary to connect with these public spaces, the title also plays with the double meaning of the phrase, which brings an affirmation of a feeling in the present beyond the invitation to sit.

CineCLAS Reverbera (2024)

Since March/2023 I've been curating the film clube from Clube de Leitura de Araçoiaba da Serra (CLAS), and the screening selection of 2023 can be seen in this flipbook.

For 2024, the project was awarded funding from the Paulo Gustavo Law, so that the location where the film club operates will undergo renovation, receiving more adequate equipment and making the space more accessible. Therefore, to celebrate the achievements, the club will host a commemorative cycle, CineCLAS Reverbera, for which I will be responsible for curating and producing, so that more people can also enjoy and learn about this work.

MYSTIKA (2023)

MYSTIKA is an art residency program promoted by Academia Brasileira de Arte Visionária (ABAV), in which the participants were learning more about visionary art in an immersive experience in Ilha do Mel (PR - Brazil) directly with the great artists Luke Brown, CACO and Luminokaya.

Apart from working in the production of the event, I designed the whole visual identity and communication images/videos of the residency, and also covered the event with photography, which will soon be uploaded.

mergulho (mini) (2023)

Performance using paints and a microscope to create live images on a digitally mapped surface. The images are manipulated to create different effects, and transform as other liquids are added to the slide in the microscope.

𓁼 3D digital art created with Blender by mixing microscopic photography. Artwork made for Pupila Dilatada 3. It is born from the question: what would it be like to look into the eye(s) of what created you? Exploring the creator/creature and artist/work relationships, the microscopic photography of liquids at the bottom of the iris brings an organic dimension to a universe of more mechanical and virtual creations, seeking to question spiritual elements inherent to the theme. What look is this Other? 𓁻

Desconstruindo Mendes (2022)

Along with three other DAOs, Nomade Label DAO produced several events celebrating 100 years of the Brazilian composer, artist and actor Gilberto Mendes, an action supported by Near Forum. This project involved a performance in Concha Acústica in Santos (SP/Brasil) and at Cine Bijou (São Paulo/SP/Brasil), gathering several artists and musicians in a jam inspired by Mendes’ works. a formação dos olhos (2022)

Short film using mostly microscope footage taken from an exquisite substance born from the mix of dragon fruit’s peel, egg, oil, and other elements.

By researching the natural surroundings of my origin country after four years living abroad, I encountered myself looking at things with whole different eyes. This short film is somehow the translation of this process of leaving and returning, and embracing the changes that come with it. “Formation of the eyes” is this movement of opening yourself to the unknown and letting it unveil before you; it’s a reminder for appreciation.

#queseacabechile (2021)

Solo performance by Tamara Miller in which a cooking pot installation, projections and electronic music play a central role. Through these elements, viewers are drawn into a soundscape that alludes to the political situation in Chile: on Oct. 18, 2019, a protest emerged in several Chilean cities that brought to light many of the country's problems and continues to this day. #queseacabechile is the hashtag of this movement.

The current social and political situation in Chile is marked by serious conflicts. During the clashes between the population with the police and the military, there have been serious cases of human rights violations.

dream apart (2021)

Vernissage from the Frauen* Fotoclub workshop promoted by La Red and ministered by Luiza Folegatti and Sarah Stinstoff. The projected videos were set to work along with the surfaces of the space, creating different depths that allowed the photos to look more dreamy. Celebrating women* freedom and exploring their intimacy, this photo series aims to externalize in colors what lives behind the mysteries of the mind.

surco (2021)

A furrow, a wrinkle, a trench… all encompassed in the Spanish term “surco.” SURCO explores how landscapes and experiences form by looking back on human, economic, and ecological processes that occur inseparably on bodies and the Earth. The interdisciplinary installation and performance challenge notions of reshaping territories, through the history of copper extractions in northern Chile. Further, SURCO considers the transformative processes of relocation of matter which are constantly experienced, on various levels. Fictional work in progress. The piece is a live music set performed along with a projection mapping set, inspired by the sci-fi aesthetic and storytelling structures. It tells the story of the main character's search for the moon, which develops according to our satellite's phases.

Audiovisual piece using NASA's free footage and experimental random noise-generator software.

This work reflects on the expansion of human missions around the galaxy,  mainly inspired by the observation of satellites and the ISS during some long pandemic nights. Through the collage of the visual elements, using dated archives, and mixing the old and the new, the question is placed: are we aware of our own time and space? Where are we headed?

Muriel (2019)

Muriel is the Angel of the Month of June, and is associated with the astrological sign of Cancer according to some christian and mystical traditions. The piece aims to explore the visual inputs generated through a creative exercise focused on this archetype's symbolism, which is associated with the protection of our inward selves.

The video art was conceived using experimental software for animation and was later included in the music video “Canto” (Gustavo Infante, 2020), as well as in the dance performance "Nada" (directed by Leticia Rodrigues) at the online festival #EmCasaComSesc during the pandemics at May/2021.
