Rumors are circulating that an attack on humans originating from the controversial Petrelli School campus was the final push for the registration under the EHRA to become mandatory. Claims from both side of the issue are unclear at best, and untruthful at worst. Critics on the issue claim the government is to blame, using the event to further the current administration’s agenda.
Many of us Americans have friends or family members that belong to this Evo class. We know and come into contact with them in our daily routine, from co-workers to those in the service industry. Does this lead to an obligation to speak out against this legislation? There is no argument that in some cases, using Samuel Sullivan as an example, that Evos can be evil people, and should be contained. Is it to fair to use these few bad eggs as a reason to punish all Evo-American citizens? What will be the next steps following the registration? Will this be looked back upon as a black mark on American history, or a saving grace?
This writer’s personal opinion is that we should repeal the EHRA in its entirety on moral grounds. It infringes on the unspoken right to privacy, right to freedom us Americans pride ourselves on. In no way am I saying that we shouldn’t contain dangerous Evos, but taking actions that could punish all Evos for existing is taking the matter too far. Most Evos are scared- at least the ones I’ve met. And he ones who aren’t scared? Well, they either have their ability under control and are trying to do the right thing, or are the ones that need to be locked away…
