Before conscious realization hit, she was nodding. “Thank you. I promise I won’t touch the music.” She smiled at him and followed the officer to his car. She’d go to this place, read some books and sleep, and go home after school tomorrow evening.
Kota smiled when she said she wouldn’t touch the music and lead her to his car. When they were both inside, he started to drive off, leaving the music on low. “There is one little craw space that is locked and has a no trespassing sign. Fun fact, you can and will be arrested for trespassing if you break in.” He warned, knowing kids have broken in and been arrested. “The door automatically shuts and locks behind you. The locks on the door are different from the one outside and indestructible and you can’t pick them. I’m not challenging you because that’s my spot and I’m very protective of it. So protective that I made it legal to arrest trespassers.” He said honestly. “If kids do break in don’t try to help them because it has alarms and a video cameras. But the other spot I told you about is free for everyone. I even left some notes in some books.” He stopped at a light.

🚨This is a Red Alert for net neutrality 🚨
Last December, the FCC voted to to kill net neutrality. If we do not take action, this will kill the free and open internet as we know it. The internet needs you—all of you—to make sure your voices are heard NOW.
We need all hands on deck for this one. It may be our last chance. If you’re feeling under-informed and overwhelmed about why net neutrality is so incredibly important, we have this handy guide just for you.
Here’s what you can do to save the internet:
In mid-May, the Senate will vote on a resolution to overrule the FCC using the Congressional Review Act (CRA). We only need one more vote in the Senate to win. Write or call your Senators or Representatives. You can also text BATTLE to 384-387 to get more information on how to write to your reps. You can do this, Tumblr.
Join us and dozens of your other favorite companies like Etsy, Vimeo, Reddit, and GitHub to raise awareness with the Red Alert campaign being run by Battle for the Net. Just add this small widget to your Tumblr to let your followers know how they can contact their reps. It’s as easy as copying and pasting the small line of code right into the customize theme page on the web.
This is important. This matters. It’s up to you to help.

Once Jack was done checking out of the bookshop, Ariel grabs Jack’s hand and then led him into the store chocked full of comic books, video games, figurines, and anything else gaming enthusiasts would love to have in their homes. With a large grin, Ariel darted over to the comic books and looked for any that would catch her eye. She stopped and looked over her shoulder at Jack, “This is okay, right? I know I should have asked before dragging you here, but I might have caved into actually buying something for my own enjoyment.”
Jack smiled as Ariel drug him into a comic book store and smiled. He stood behind her smiling as he saw her looking at comics thinking she was cute. Though he also knew they probably wouldn’t see each other for a while. As she looked at a comic, Jack looked at the comics above her searching for something Batman. “It’s perfectly ok.” He reached for a Batman comic above her head and started to look through it.

Home workouts
Lena had to do a swimwear shoot for a magazine and knew that she needed to maintain her figure and put on a black sports bra, black jogging shorts, and a pair of black Nike’s. She wasn’t sure if Royce was still sleeping or not since it was 10am and she had the day off so she quietly walked out of her room, down the stairs, and made herself a protein shake before going down another flight of stairs to her gym.
Once she was in her gym, she looked around and put on her iPad listening to her workout mix consisting of anything she felt she could work out too and turned on the music. The first thing she did was a few miles on the stationary bike before moving to stretches when she heard a noise over the radio and turned it down. “Royce?” She called out though her voice was still soft and only a few octaves higher than normal, but she also knew he could hear her.

Everly listened. This place sounded like heaven. But she certainly didn’t want him to waste off duty time on her. “You can just tell me where it is and I can go? Or do they need someone… more mature to drop off the wayward?”
He was broad and tall to Eve’s small and homely. But there was something about him and Everly was intrigued.
When Everly mentioned him dropping her off, he sighed knowing he had to go there anyway and looked at his phone once it vibrated. “I have to go there anyway and I’m off duty. Right now she’s asleep and probably has a bunch of teens sleeping there.” He dug through his pocket and pulled out his keys, holding one up that was painted blue and white. “She’s not really used to anyone knocking on her door this late either.” He added though it was the truth. “You can even ride shot gun since I’m off duty, as long as you don’t touch the music.”

the worst thing about being a roleplayer is that every time you watch or read something new, like literally every single time without fail, you either want to play a character from that thing or make that thing into a roleplay. without fail.

Pursing her lips, Ariel moves on to different section of the book store, starting her preview of a few more books before she grows uninterested in continuing to pretend that she likes the fictional selection that’s currently available to any customer. She honestly didn’t think that they were really awful, they just didn’t draw her in. Well, at least a three quarters of an hour had passed while they been here, Ariel muses after she glances at her phone then goes to find Jack, ready to move on to the next store.
Jack had finally picked up the few items, apron included and went to walk to checkout when he found a stuffed seahorse with a book attached, picking them up for himself. As he walked he kept scanning the aisles for anything that would stand out, but found nothing as he hit the check out line. “Ariel.” Jack called out the moment he seen her, only three people in head of him as he stood in line.

Ariel’s eyes flicker open soon after the near kiss, which flustered her almost as much as the kiss they had the night before. She flushes lightly and nods, then starts moving do to the next shop for strictly browsing. She instead chose to keep her actual focus on gazing at the items in the store and she was able to sort out the about her resurfacing of feelings. She took a closer look at some of the fictional books for young adults. Ariel opened a dystopian book and began the first chapter to see if the book could manage to keep her attention.
Jack watched as he and Ariel soon walked into a book store and separated from him. Knowing they’ll find each other when they’re ready he walked to a different section of the store and saw a zodiac coloring book, picking up two of them as he continued to look around. He smiled seeing an apron with Japanese writing decorated with sweets at the bottom and held it up before draping it over his arm. It wasn’t long till Jack saw a book about Japan and started to flip though it. His thoughts abut Ariel and the feelings that resurfaced had him acting on impulse when he’s with her.

June internally sighed as Milo introduced himself. She only wanted to get this done with. She needed to get her jacket cleaned right now. “June. Not that you’re ever going to continue to use my name.” Pushing the door to the dry cleaners, June walks up to the counter and giving the man behind the counter her first name and phone number. She turns to Milo and holds out her hand for the amount needed to pay for her jacket to be cleaned.
Milo listened as June spoke saying that was the only time she would see her. Not feeling the need or want to say anything, Milo stayed quiet and followed June’s lead. Once she held out her hand for the payment, he took out his wallet, counted the cash, and put it in her hand. “G’day.” Milo nodded curtly and walked out to get some food.

Ariel hummed as she  watched Jack browse the the selection, feeling her cheeks heat up, before turning and speaking to him. “I like window shopping, but I don’t need to purchase anything.” She swallowed when Jack had to release her hand, rocking on her the balls of feet and biting her lower lip nervously. That had psychical contact had to have been a fluke, right? Shaking her thoughts away, Ariel waited for Jack at the store’s opening while he paid for his items, leaning against the wall.
“Ok. We can go window shopping.” he smiled. Jack soon noticed Ariel had moved from beside him as he looked for items, though unsure if she was window shopping or not. Once Jack seen Ariel leaning against a wall waiting, he instantly thought that she was cute. After paying for his items Jack’s eyes met with hers as he walked over to her, his free hand wrapping around her waist the moment he got close to her, their faces slowly getting closer, their lips barely touching, but senses heightened. “Sorry.” Jack breathes against her lips as his eyes flutter open, and releases Ariel from his grasp. “Let me know when you get hungry.”

Everly, commonly known as Eve, had been out walking. A simple night time walk after a fight with her father surrounding her need for a longer lead on her life. Innocently she had walked out of her house with her books in her arms intending to read by streetlight until she knew her overprotective and slightly violent father was asleep. A cool off period as they say.
Before she knew it she was surrounded by boys (men? she couldn’t see well enough to know in the cloak of darkness) She fought them off, completely unsure of their intentions but instinctively knowing they couldn’t be good.
A voice cut through the low rumble of commotion and Eve let out a breath of relief. She kept her eyes on the ground after scrambling to save her books. The crowd dispersed and Everly stumbled to hide behind the man now known as an officer of the law “…If I get in the car do I have to go home or will you take me anywhere I tell you to?
Kota listened to Eve’s question and knew she probably didn’t want to go home. While yes it is his duty to get her off the street, he didn’t have to take her home. He could take her almost anywhere she could stay. “I can take you almost anywhere. I can’t drop you off at the train or bus station though.” If she ran away, Kota would get accused of helping her. Seeing her amount of books, he came up with a small idea.
“I know this place you can stay for the night. It’s a giant library, dim lighting, cozy blanket forts spread out along with other aesthetic areas to read and sleep. It did close at one point, but teens started to fall asleep there and a few had told her in a groggy daze they didn’t want to go home for whatever reason. A few reasons being their parents were having sex and they had trouble blocking out the sound. I know what it sounds like, but think of it this way: it’s safe, no one will bother you, you can cook your own breakfast if you promise not to burn the place down, you’ll fall asleep surrounded by books, each fort is set up in an isle or a small space inbetween nailed down book cases. All you have to do is reach either beside or below you and there’s a book. You just can’t stay all day, you do have to go to school or home and the owner will drive you if she has to.” He knew it was a long shot, the girl could have been going to stay at a friends, but he also knew it would help if she needed a place in the future. “I just need to go to the station first to clock out if that’s ok”.

Disturbing the Peace
Kota had been out patrolling for a while, there wasn’t anything exciting going on and he was thankful of that. It was calm and Kota was happy he was making his last round before going home. While driving, Kota had noticed a bunch of teen males that seemed to bully a female and didn’t like it. Not wanting to cause a commotion, Kota parked his car a few blocks away and decided to walk towards the group.
When he got close to the group he put his thumbs in his pockets and looked at everyone. “How is everyone?” he asked and the boys started to call him a rent-a-cop causing him to chuckle and raised an arm when one of them tried to touch his shirt causing them to laugh and looked at the girl. “Are these guys bothering you?” he asked remembering how uncomfortable she looked and all the guys got mad and two went to put their hands in their pockets as they neared the girl causing Kota to move next to her. “Let me see your hands.” Kota said to the boys showing them his actual badge. “So much for being a rental cop, eh?” he laughed a bit and the kids showed both of his hands. “Now I’m going to ask nicely, if you don’t have business with this young lady kindly leave because if you don’t I’m going to ask her if she wants to press harassment charges and if she does, I’ll be more than happy to put you in cuffs.” he said and watched them leave. “Do you need a ride home?” he asked the young lady seeing she was out late.

Raising her eyebrow and chuckling, Ariel asked, “Weren’t you the one that needed to shop and I was only along for the ride, remember?” She grins at the  response Jack gives. “But I’ll play along. We could go to a pet store. That’s about all I can of needing.” Ariel turns to stare out the window for the drive to local mall. The search for a parking stall and walk to the entrance had a comfortable silence then they decided which store to go first. Once they had their first destination chosen, Ariel glanced at Jack. “So, which way do we go?”
Jack chuckled a bit when Ariel reminded him she was along for the ride, though he smiled when she mentioned wanting to go to a pet store. “I know you’re here for the ride, but if you need something or want to look at something, we can go there too. I’m not opposed to it.” he said once she answered him. Once they were in the mall, Jack listened to Ariel and looked around seeing a store called Think Geek. “Right there.” he said pointing to it as he lead the way.
Once they were in the store, Jack began to look around when a sales associate greeted them and asked if they needed help. “Do you have anything Fruits Basket? Preferably Momiji and Yuki for two 2 year-olds.” he said and followed the associate and subconsciously grabbed Ariel’s hand as they walked. Once the associate showed him a dvd he chuckled. “They won’t watch it in English.” he said but looked at the costumes next to it. “These would be awesome if they were made for toddlers.” he sighed to Ariel as he looked and picked up a box that read Zodiac Stones + Rice Ball. He turned it over and looked at the back and picked up two of them as he kept looking and picking up a few plush toys as well as two hats. “Do you see anything you like here?” he asked unsure if Ariel was into anime or knew what it was.
