Hey everyone, I’m so sorry to be asking for money again, but things are very tight right now. I quit my abusive retail job (no more constant casual sexual harassment, yay) but it’s hard getting on my feet with my delivery job when so much of the money just has to go immediately back into gas and maintenance on my car. I’ve got a doctor’s appointment next week to continue my HRT, and then the cost of those prescriptions to deal with as well. Haven’t been driving long enough to get that health insurance stipend yet. It’d be great to be able to afford those and not be living quite so day-to-day, yknow?

I’m looking to raise about $400, but literally anything at all helps.

To bother you with questions and statements, in honour of watching Speed again for the first time in decades what's your favourite dumb action movie?/In honour of being surprised seeing Alan Ruck in Speed most recent/notable occasion of being surprised seeing an actor you know in something. Also Speed's still a really fun movie.

Me and my friend Amy watched The Heroic Trio for the first time earlier this year and it was WILD. First of all - Maggie Cheung, Michelle Yeoh, and Anita Mui? STACKED. All the bombast and crazy wire work you'd expect from an early 90s Hong Kong action flick, supplemented with a truly bizarre plot that is mostly over-the-top silly with occasional diversions to "wait what the fuck? Jesus!"

There's baby stealing, there's mysterious diseases, there's a coat that makes you invisible, there's a sewer man, Maggie Cheung on a motorcycle, copious explosions, and a dramatic fight scene against the most rickety looking skeleton prop you've ever seen in your life.

It's a really good time.

Also now you made me want to watch Speed again
