Sudoku puzzle blanket!

I came up with this idea when I was thinking about how to properly randomize the colors in a granny square blanket.

You'll need 9 different colors (I used white + 8 shades of purple) and 9 squares of each color. Assign each color a number 1-9. Get a completed sudoku puzzle (or solve one yourself) and start assembling!

I had my squares organized in this bin while I was working and kept this picture saved in my phone with the sudoku puzzle picture to make sure I didn't mix any of the numbers up.

oh god yeah the 'leaks' terrify me and this puts my thoughts into words. i don't entirely believe them, but i detest them so much.

like...why? just why? what a way to underwhelm the central romance. we already had two rake leads, and neither of them had extensive scenes with other people in their own seasons beyond allusions at the very beginning before they got to know their love interests, but for some reason, colin will get multiple scenes like that, more than a couple episodes in??? when people already don't see colin being attracted to penelope??? (which is the fatphobia speaking but that's another thing entirely)

it's also just so fucking exhausting to have more or less the same sexual dynamic between the leads every time. like even though kate was older, anthony was like "there's so many things i could teach you". we've already done the "rakish, experienced man teaches ingenue naive woman". one of the things i was excited for with polin was the potential of them being different and learning together. and it bothers me so much when people keep assuming he won't know how to make it good if he's inexperienced when he's clearly heard his brothers talk and has theoretical knowledge. also, wouldn't it be an even more empowering plot decision to say “yeah he’s good at sex because he just listens to his partner and is enthusiastic about pleasing her”?

it would have been so interesting to explore his sexual awakening like they did daphne’s in season 1. it would have been so creative and new to have that plot for a man since it's one we hardly see. if the supposed point was to show colin is different from his brothers and simon because he needs more intimacy, then this is the opposite. people already knew colin wasn't a rake, and this goes against his characterization for the sake of over the top fanservice.

and again, ultimately it takes away from the central developing relationship. this is just something you don't do when writing a romance.

I don’t want to see Pen with Debling. I don’t want to see them touch or kiss or anything intimate. It has nothing to do with me not wanting her to have options. It means I ship Polin. I’m in it to see them together.

I also don’t want to see Colin touch or kiss or have a fucking threesome either. It doesn’t have to do with saving himself for Pen or kink shaming bullshit. I don’t want to see it for the same reason I don’t want to watch Pen with Debling.

Let him have sex, I don’t care. Let him have had threesomes foursomes and moresomes whatever I DONT WANT TO SEE IT! Mention it, allude to it, whatever just don’t fucking show me. Have him have a voyeur kink bc obviously he does but I still don’t want to see him jack it to two women who are not Penelope when we already spent one season listening to him wax poetic over his love for another woman.

I am ssooooo entirely over the tired and overused rake trope. Let Colin be soft and Demi. Let him learn intimacy alongside his partner, Penelope. Let that intimacy stem from a place of knowing and trusting each other like they can’t anyone else. Just for the love of Mother Earth, don’t make me sit through another whoring montage.

It's not that I think Zuko took lightning for Katara because he loved her, or that she healed him because she loved him, but I do think that it's only after the adrenaline fades that they truly realize what it means to care about someone so much that you do the impossible for them. I think they will always have this between them, this understanding that transcends whatever other relationships they may have, romantic or not. Katara's hands still remember what it felt like to hold Zuko's heartbeat between them, and if everything she touches still carries a bit of that heartbeat, bleeding out from her fingertips, she doesn't show it to anyone, but the firelord somehow knows, somehow always finds her hands, catching her fingertips in his warm ones briefly in passing. And if Zuko is always seeing shadows in the thunderstorm, a torrent of memory in the split second before lightning strikes, he is soothed by the silent eyes of the Water Tribe ambassador, watching him from across a crowded room.

The thing about Timmy Chalamet is that he’s truly a great actor and he even has good taste in projects and he’s not even overexposed when you calibrate for how overexposed all that group of 25-30 year old big stars are……however something is still off. any time he gets cast in something it feels like that movie instantly turns into a parody of a movie.
