What is the Fan Art Theater?
The Fan Art Theater provides a track of programming completely centered around works of fan created video art. At Youmacon we celebrate wholeheartedly the video culture that has grown out of Japanese Anime and Pop Culture. We focus on fan created works of video art and the online video culture and community that has spawned from this.
We celebrate online video content creators, be they AMVers, Short Film Makers, Let's Players, Reviewers, Editors, Animators, Videographers, Directors, Writers, ect. Anyone who has had a hand in the creation of fan work, not just the actors on screen or voice actors on the dub, are celebrated.
Due to the focus of Youmacon, we primarily deal with anime and the culture it has spawned. However, as long as the final product is a work of "video art"(with our definition of art being wider than you may expect) all is welcome in the Fan Art Theater!
