But can we also talk about how he has his own problems during Transformania but he still spends the whole movie making sure Blobby is okay? And not just by putting him away somewhere where nothing could happen to him, like he could arguably have done since Blobby is …Jello, and theoretically not sentient and wouldn’t know. But by bringing him along because Blobby always comes along, and likes to be part of things so that’s clearly what Blobby would have wanted. And continues to treat him like the living, feeling being that he actually is, no matter what he looks like. Honestly touching.
I like to think that they’re all on the train to Transylvania in 1897 in the beginning of the third movie because they were picking up Griffin from Iping. Like the rest of the Drac Pack read about an Invisible Man terrorizing a town and were like “we gotta go help this guy he is having A Bad Time.”
I want a Travis Hackett and Dewey Riley meet somehow fic. Travis taking down Ghostfaces like ”Sir and or Ma’am I don’t think you understand that your knives mean nothing to me, I am more of a jumpscare than you will ever be”, and Dewey being a little skeptical of werewolves but willing to help because at least they won’t stab him.
A thing I haven’t seen anyone mention re: Travis locking up Laura and Max:
I think the reason he locks them up and gives them so little info even when he gives them any may be that he actually doesn’t believe they are counselors, or that they are just counselors.
There is mention of having had trouble with a reporter before, and there’s at least one podcast about the camp. Laura says Chris told her they could come a day early, and Travis knows that’s a lie. He could easily think they’re lying about being counselors until it’s confirmed by Chris. And even then they could still be reporters or podcasters under cover.
And Max is a werewolf by then anyway.
I wonder if he got burned by the reporter, and then had to let his family kill them and doesn’t want a repeat of that.
That was your first mistake “The Strain”. Can you imagine how good that show would have been? Peter Russo has 1,000x the charisma points Eph does. And he’s a way more likeable drunk, who manages to do way shittier things while the audience still loves him and wants him to come out on top. And I say this as one of the approximately two people who like Eph.
I’ve actually always thought David Bradley’s face situation looked like shit, but I thought that was intentional.
Also: as bad as season 1 Zack was (kinda bad; couldn’t cry), season 2 Zack is so much worse. :( Stop directing him to act like that stop please stop. Also write that character better. But mostly oh god that kid is acting so hard and you can see every second of it.
On the flip, Charlie Gallant is crushing it as young Palmer, and the consumptive make-up they have on him really works for him.
I also could have watched an entire TV series that was just the Angel’s movie, that was spectacular.
Over all: season 2 is stepping up from season 1, and I’m really thrilled that the plot has deviated from the books.
