didn't end up getting it out because the dr told me that I COULD HAVE IT OUT UNDER SEDATION IF I WANT they just couldn't do it there. so i'm waiting on that. why does nobody ever mention that that IS in fact an option for removal

#unfortunately that means i will have to wait until after i move and i'll have to find a provider in california to do it in a hospital #but i'm completely happy waiting if it means i don't have to remember any of the actual removal

#iuds have to be one of the biggest shams of women's healthcare seriously #not because they don't work as a contraceptive but because they're prescribed for any other uterus-related issue someone might have #and THEY DONT WORK FOR OTHER ISSUES #they're extremely painful to have inserted and i've heard just as painful to have removed #i had almost no education on the procedure before i agreed to it #i just wanted relief from my periods and i didn't even get that #again. they're a fine option for contraception but providers need to stop promising anything beyond that #OH and i've had hormonal acne for the past 5 years because of it #the state of women's healthcare is an awful fucked up joke

so incredibly sad and frustrated that i can't find the chocolate cake recipe i made a few times back in 2020
