It hasn’t been long since Zhuzhi-Lang was deemed healthy enough to leave Qian Cao Peak, and though Mu Qingfang is the one who suggested a short daily walk for the continued recovery of his strength, he knows that he must make a sorry sight. Even now, the remains of his grievous chest wound twinges. But the bamboo forests of Qing Jing Peak are quiet and serene. Aside from Shen Qingqiu, there is no one around to witness his unsightly serpentine features. And Immortal Master Shen, handsome and elegant though he is, has never looked down on Zhuzhi-Lang’s appearance. “How could this humble one mind?” Zhuzhi-Lang ducks his head, smiling. “If Immortal Master Shen wishes to further his education on the snake race, it is my honor to be of assistance.”

Anyway, hmm, I've been getting in touch with my inner Shen Yuan lately and thinking about silly books I like, so here are some notes about clothes in PIDM and SVSSS if you care to read:

I've been separating realm aesthetics in PIDW by Chinese dynasties, so Shang Qinghua's clothes are based on Ming and Qing dynasty aesthetics! Mostly because their winter clothes fuck lots I love them.

Nail guards! I think he wears them so he won't chew on them.

All his furs are hunted by Mobei-Jun personally.

Shang Qinghua is a very practical consort, honestly, compared to cucumber-bro he's taking to wearing almost no jewelry. It's more than he wore in his peak lord days, though, lol.
