To my friend Moon @eloquentmoon. Happy birthday and never give up on anything <3 You are a talented and kind person and it is a pleasure to have known you.
I saw the tag birthday 24, I was wondering if that was supposed to mean April 24th or your 24th birthday, so I managed some time to have it done tonight, not missing the possible deadline at least!
Speaking of the intent/mind sensing, I am reminded of these two scenes:
Maul taught Qi'ra to cloud her mind so that she would not be easily read by Sidious.
Plus, Sidious never missed an opportunity to insult Maul and I liked how Qi'ra was kind of defending Maul.
Yesterday I saw a tweet saying that they wanted to see how Qi'ra would use and manipulate Maul to steal his criminal empire, then draw Vader and Maul into a showdown. I think maybe this person doesn't realize the fact that neither Qi'ra nor Maul were idiots?
Qi'ra was a flexible person, she couldn't do such a thing. Maul told her the secrets of the Sith and taught her how to fight and lead the largest mafia in the galaxy. He considered her his heir and she had no need to steal from him at all. Maul ultimately left Crimson Dawn not because Qi'ra chased him away, but because he stubbornly went to Malachor to find the Sith weapon. Eventually his ship crashed and he had to wander this planet – accidents happen.
If Qi'ra betrayed Maul, I wouldn't see any logic in her doing so. Maul treated her – well. Qi'ra killed Vos because Vos forced her into an unsolicited and unprofessional relationship, and killing him was also a way to free herself. Qi'ra sought safety and power, and Crimson Dawn was the best harbor for her. This organization could give her everything she was looking for. If Maul was willing to trust her and teach her his knowledge and fighting techniques, why would she harm him? She inherited Crimson Dawn from Maul, without taking it from him through deception or malice.
Personally, I think a lot of people see a character's personality as either black or white. For example, they believe that Qi'ra killed Vos so that she could also plan to harm Maul, but they ignore the fact that Vos and Maul were completely different people. Maul would never lay a finger on Qi'ra without her consent, but not Vos. A character's personality changes and adapts depending on different situations and circumstances, and is never a stagnant pool of water. Even though Qi'ra sought power, Maul's power and hers were relatively balanced, and Maul had basically handed over the syndicate to her. There was absolutely no need for her to do unnecessary stupid things and make her life more dangerous and complicated. "Pursuing power" and "Respecting Maul & be good to Maul" are not contradictory. Qi'ra didn't need to hurt Maul to get what she wanted if she already had access to what she wanted.
Maybe we need more lores between these two to see more clearly.

Call me deviant, but I really DO think that Maul being bisected brings out some dark aesthetics. I'm not talking about gore or torture - of course I hope Maul has never been tortured or abused. I'm talking about the sights of him crawling in debris, leaving behind a trail of viscera and flesh and blood burnt by the lightsaber, struggling to survive on the trash planet, thriving among the most horrific circumstances, hatred and pain, with a vengeful madness, obsession, and that charming twinkling glint in his melting golden eyes.
I hope this message finds you well and that it is not too rude considering the high probability that you are on a dangerous mission. I am not sure if I should add the title Darth to your name anyway, so please accept this address.
I have heard of your past, rumors by word of mouth, about you, you and your suffering, your hatred and your revenge. Staying away from the strife of the galaxy may or may not contribute to anything peaceful, so I heard you have returned, with your own ambitions and what you believed to be justice.
I am writing to inquire about a matter of profound curiosity. Curiosity about you, one of the most powerful and enigmatic figures in the galaxy. I would be more than honored to know a memory that is dear to you – even if... there are only a few left.
Your willingness to share such a personal aspect of yourself would be deeply appreciated.
All my respect and admiration,
Hnn. I can accept 'dear' in this context. It is traditional with correspondence, is it not? However, Darth is my title.
I contest that the galaxy's strife would continue with or without me, but at the very least my way would not be the wretched spread of ignorance and weakness. Namely, the death of every force practicing culture among the stars. My master seeks this, to lessen all else, to hold himself high by staying where he is. I do not. I seek to thrive.
Which of these is better is... subjective.
Hmm. Your query is peculiar, but not intolerable. A memory dear to me? What a precious thing you ask for. It is good that memory is neither taken nor destroyed in the sharing, or else I would not.
As you have given no other clue as to what sort of memory you seek, I will take your alias as inspiration. Orange is a color I associate with my youngest kin. Both of my brothers are yellow, but one is slightly more orange hued than the other. When I was very young, there was a brief time in my life where I lived in the nightbrothers' village with them. My little brother was a sleepy child, where as I was energetic. I tried to carry him places... often. When he was done with me, he would bite. Any attempt to move him, and fangs would be involved. I tried biting him back. I tried gagging him. He... simply found a way. In this, our relation shown through. Determination and resilience are fine qualities, I find.
