plus size masterpost
shopping for plus size clothes is hard. shopping for plus size clothes in your price range is harder. so i’ve decided to compile an (ongoing) list of clothing stores that carry plus size clothes. i’ve arranged it by their average price range, bc i know my budget so i know which i can afford to shop at, and i dont like having to click every link on a masterpost trying to find one i deem affordable.

Woo boy look at that facial hair. Hi I’m Lily and you’ve probably seen one of my donation posts before (I make a lot). I’m a white, mentally ill trans woman that suffers from severe primary and secondary sex characteristic dysphoria. Laser hair removal would help me tremendously in the way I feel about myself Please help if you can. Or reblog if you can’t

Gemini Apparel has started up a free binder program for any individual in need of a binder that can’t afford one. Every purchase goes towards stockpiling GC2B binders (best on the market) for whoever needs them, and the cost to ship them. We are also looking to add more trans individuals of color to our model lineup (we only have two who have volunteered.) So if you or someone you know has an interactive following of 5k or more on tumblr or Instagram, message me. www.geminiapparel.bigcartel.come A signal boost would be greatly appreciated, help get the word out!

tips for broke femmes from a broke femme
here’s a 32 piece makeup brush set that’s about $14 and pretty good
here’s a nude palette by elf with 144 different colors for $15 that is really great
here’s a beauty blender knockoff set that’s $2.74
here’s a website where they have a ton of pretty good quality makeup and accessories for $1 + $3.95 flat rate shipping
i couldn’t write nicer things about this $1 liquid eyeliner. seriously one of the best eyeliners i’ve used that wasn’t a luxury brand. you get a TON of product and what you get is long-lasting and a very intense black. felt tipped too! the little twistable crayon eyeliner is great for tightlining and wow this thing is just amazing
never buy new plain t-shirts. go to goodwill in the mens section and you’ll probably find one in your size and color for around $2
instead of buying products “fortified” with cocoa butter, shea butter, coconut oil, ect, just buy the good thing itself. you can get half a pound of cocoa butter for around $10, half a pound of shea butter for around $6, and a 16 ounce jar of coconut oil from Trader Joes for $6. it lasts a LOT longer and makes your skin/hair happier. plus no added preservatives or irritants! cool

Things that no one tells you about being a trans woman/transfeminine that you need to know:
if you are on hormones, you will have to pee 24/7
you are so god damn beautiful
tucking is hard the first time, but it gets easier
you don’t have to tuck if you don’t want to
there is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way to be trans or to transition
YOu ARE GORGEOUS
you have to learn to love yourself, it will save your life
don’t let the rough times with dysphoria dictate how you feel about yourself on a daily basis
you need to acknowledge and cherish the things you like about yourself
know that you are fucking beautiful
drink like eighteen gallons of water a day
pay no mind to people who are ignorant
HONESTLy, SO PRETTY
bras are very sweaty
never feel like a burden for being you
tell yourself that your beautiful everyday
try to find positives in your life, they will help you when everything seems like it’s crumbling
wow, you. are. HOTTTTT.
patience is so important
there are going to be good days and bad days
if you go on hormones your nipples are really going to hurt
no
like they will really hurt
if you are seeing a doctor for hormones etc, always be open and honest with any questions or concerns
you are as ***flawless as beyoncé and don’t let anyone tell your differently
you don’t have to be feminine to be a woman
don’t compare yourself to others
you are valid, you are worth it, and you worthy, you are important.
you are not alone, ever.
YOU ARE GORGEOUS.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT. Anyone who plans on taking HRT without a prescription from your doctor (via ordering on-line or some other method), this website has all dosages, amount of times you take daily, the specific names of the prescriptions, how you administer them, all the “red flag” side effects to look out for, etc. etc.
Please pass this along!

Trans Girl Swimming Suits!
It’s almost swim season, which means Tanning! Hot models! Splashing! Fun! And….. Dysphoria.
A keen awareness of your body can come around seeing people and their gorgeous cis bodies. I know how hard it is to wear a bathing suit when your dysphoria gets in the way.
This is all in your head so thankfully, there are ways to help!
An idea from (yes I’m bringing this up AGAIN) Boy meets girl is a bathing suit worn by Ricky, the trans fashion designer who made her own bathing suit:
Tumblr media
Ricky (Left) is wearing a one piece twist top bathing suit which excellently defines her curves and accentuates her chest (she’s obviously got a good amount of breast tissue but this can work for anyone) It’s a very versatile choice and can sometimes be found in Mastectomy stores!
Tumblr media
A great choice for a top is my preference, a flounce top. It’s super duper cute and good for flat girls:) There are a lot of varieties and choices. It can be a lot of cute patterns and it’s a really fun and flirty idea that really brings out your shape
Tumblr media
And for the bottom, a swim skirt is my favorite option, it can be plain, patterned, tight, flouncy, crochet, or anything and it can hide anything.
Tumblr media
Another option is swim short shorts as I’d call them. they look cute and the cut doesn’t draw attention to between the legs!
Tumblr media
Here’s another possibility, the little black swim dress. not only does it accentuate curve and breasts, It also is discreet down below.
Tumblr media
Here’s another one piece, but this one is about the design, the V shape creates an illusion of your curves being bigger, which is always nice:) The look makes a very balanced body, and plays to the hourglass look.
If you’re happy, calm, and confident in your body, you’ll always look beautiful:)
If you’re looking for more advice and support, start Here:)

Hi, friends!
I know that for a lot of non-binary and transgender folks, swimming can be a pain (especially with a lack of gender neutral swimwear). It’s hard to want to go to a pool or to the beach and enjoy all that it has to offer without having to force yourself into swimwear that isn’t necessarily comfortable.
Just today, a company by the name of Outplay opened its doors for people looking for gender neutral swimwear! For a limited time, they’re having a pre-order sale—up to 60% off!
There are two different types of swimming binders available, and they come in both high and low binding compression:
Tumblr media
The Swimmie mid drift binding swim top (pictured above; navy and white) is cropped, like a sports bra, allowing your mid section to be free.
Here’s an example of a model, named Melo, wearing the low compression Swimmee binder and Tomboier shorts:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Flatsea full-coverage binding swim top (pictured above in solid navy) is just like a swim tank! No more wearing a sports bra under a tank top!
Here’s an example of a model, named Alex, wearing the low compression Flatsea binder and Boi shorts:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The bi-colored Tomboier shorts (pictured above in navy with a white band) are a pair of swim shorts that can be paired with either swim binder of your choice.
Tumblr media
The Boi shorts (pictured above in solid black) come in only solid colors and are longer than their Tomboier counterparts. The shorts can be paired with either top of your choice.
If you have any questions, please e-mail the Outplay company at [email protected].

Walking/body language tips for AMAB/DMAB transfeminine folks!
I’ve seen a lot of AMAB/DMAB people have trouble swinging their hips in a natural way when they walk, so here are some tips:
You know when you’re standing and you put your weight on one leg? Try practicing doing that for a bit, making sure your hip juts out.
Practice switching your weight between your legs (one leg, then the other), still with your hip jutting out.
Now, when you walk, when you step down onto a leg, shift your weight onto that leg. Then, when you step onto the other one, switch again.
Remember, the swaying isn’t coming from your spine, it’s coming from your pelvis. It might help if you imagine each hip making a circle motion while you walk.
Other body language tips:
Tip your elbows into your body, with your forearms turned outward a little.
Relax your shoulders without slouching. Imagine them in a curved shape instead of a straight line.
When you sit, keep your legs close together. If you cross them, cross them at the ankle or put one leg over the other at thigh level, don’t rest one ankle on the other knee.
Remember, all of these things are optional. Don’t feel like you have to conform yourself to be valid in your gender. These tips are just here for if you do want them.

best shoes for trans girls
I know this seems obvious but if you other trans girls have big feet like I do (I wear a size 12-13) Payless is seriously the best option for shoes on a budget. Almost nowhere carries shoes in my size, I don’t even bother checking anymore. The only place I can get shoes is payless and I seriously only pay $10-15 for flats/wedges/running shoes. Also if you order online (better selection) and you don’t like them you can return it in any store. Changing your entire wardrobe can be so fucking expensive but payless has saved my life so I thought I’d give a sorta tip even though it’s probably obvious.
