I know it’s not fair to be mad at Nick for this when we haven’t talked about our communication expectations but I am a bit upset. He sent me an IG reel today and we messaged a bit back and forth but that’s it. He didn’t text me all day. Or call. I get it. We’re busy and live two separate lives but he had said he wanted to be more intentional with our talks. He had said he wanted to call more often. I’m not sure why he couldn’t find at least 20 minutes in his day to call today. Or even send a “hey I have a busy day but I’m thinking of you” text. I sometimes wonder if maybe I want too much or expect too much. Maybe I’m asking a lot of someone if I want them to text me everyday. But then again, wouldn’t you want to text someone you’re “crazy about” 24/7? *sigh*

update: I was overreacting MAJORLY. Nick is incredible and he sent me flowers for Valentine’s Day and he’s going to visit soon! Ya girl is down bad !!!

I’m hoping and praying that I’m overreacting but I think something shifted between Nick and I this week and I don’t know what it is. I’ve been initiating texts all week and today I didn’t text him and unfortunately, I didn’t hear from him at all. I had a hard day at work and this was really the cherry on top. I also initiated the last two phone calls and when I was back home, he kept saying how he wanted to video chat when I’m back in Austin but I’ve been back for a week now and he hasn’t even tried to set anything up. I’m really really hoping I’m overreacting but this is feeling bleak.

okay so I may have been overreacting because he texted me Sunday evening to let me know he was busy all weekend. I wish he would have told me this BEFORE like Thursday night or Friday so I would have the expectation that I wouldn’t hear from him over the weekend. We texted for a bit but not too much. Still no mention of a phone call or FaceTime but I’m hoping he’ll bring it up soon, if not then I may need to initiate it *sigh*
