I'm having THOUGHTS about Rusty being a clone man. Rusty spent his WHOLE childhood afraid he was going to die. From supervillains kidnapping him once every 2 weeks and treating him so badly there are now laws in place against what 6 year old Rusty experienced, to his dad's friends on team venture threatening him with weapons RIGHT in his face and pulling pranks that resulted in grievous bodily harm, to his OWN DAD using him in cruel and painful experiments. Rusty was never safe! No matter who he was with, canonically at least once a day, Rusty had a moment where he thought he was going to die. AND THE THING IS!!!!!!! He was right!!!!!!!!! He DID die!!!!!! Little Rusty died over and over and over again. He was RIGHT that this was no life for a kid, that this life was DEADLY. There weren't just a lot of close calls, he wasn't worrying over nothing, his dad DIDN'T protect him. He fucking died! Over and over again! So often that he stayed six years old for ten years!
Imagine being six and getting tortured and tortured and tortured every day to the point where you always think today is gonna be the day it finally catches up to you until one day it DOES catch up to you and it kills you and you die. And then it starts over again. For ten fucking years.
Anyone else would've at least been given the mercy of slipping peacefully into non-existence after the first time. But rusty couldn't even escape his terrible life in DEATH dude. His dad just brought him right the fuck back! And it really speaks to how rustys dad and team venture as a whole viewed rusty as a commodity or an object. You'd think after the FIRST time rusty died his dad would stop taking him on adventures or stop letting the action man stick his gun right against his head or do fucking SOMETHING, ANYTHING to make sure he never had to see his little boy die again. But instead it's almost like the opposite happened, like no one felt they had to protect rusty from anything because they could always just bring him back. Nobody cared that he was dying.

I think the weather machine seen in season 7 was old Venture tech, which brings up interesting and juicy thoughts re: the strange and severe storm that the fitzcarraldos encounter ultimately causing the plane crash.
