#I live at the equator it’s constantly 37 degrees Celsius #if you don’t shower everyday I don’t know how you do it #also; this caused so much confusion between me and the partner #he showers once every 2-3 days #it drove me INSANE #but now we just let the other person do what they want #thank God

Had to write an email to an author saying that their manuscript delay was “rather extraordinary” which as you know in the British dialect of understatement means “Jesus could have lived and died and come back by now and gone to Heaven” so I guess that’s now a hill I’m willing to die on

My partner and I are getting married in about 2 weeks and we just did some prep work to meet the officiant for the ceremony and… answering the questions and thinking about how we met / how we got here / what we love in each other… I know there’s a lot of things about lifestyle compatibility and how we’re very different people but I have never been more certain that dating someone different from me has broadened my life and my world is bigger for it

#dune 2 #I continue to find the movie visually fascinating but personally boring #and it’s mostly because of the racial politics of it and the original material #I read the whole dune series but like as I got older I liked it less and less #like what can I say there’s a lot more progressive writing out there
