I wanted to try my hand at giving them my own young adult designs. We see them as older adults, like middle aged, and briefly as teens sometimes, but never young adults. (that I remember, but maybe I'm wrong)

Maybe I'll use them for something, who knows. 👀

We all know the infamous scene in WHITEHOUSE that revealed Nigel may have had a crush on Kuki.

But hear me out.

What if he just never wanted to tell Abby the truth.

She found out he had a crush on someone that wasn't Lizzie so she pestered him about it, and in a fit of panic, he said it was Kuki because she's the only other girl in their sector.

He couldn't say the truth to her face because the person he had a crush on was her.

And that's why Nigel gave her that look in WHITEHOUSE, because even all these years later, she never figured it out.

Just a thought. Honestly, I have no qualms over 1 and 3 either, but I'm rabid for 1 x 5

Skinny teen Hoagie in the tags gives me an excuse to remind you guys HOAGIE IS FAT THROUGHOUT HIS ENTIRE LIFE, NO IFS ANDS OR BUTS.

"Hank" was a mutated version of Hoagie and Hoagie cannot become skinny under any healthy circumstances as his fat is genetic. "Hank" is the only version of Hoagie shown to be skinny. Every other older version is fat, because Hank was never supposed to be how he'd look as a teen/adult. It's supposed to be how he'd look after being stretched out underneath a device meant for rodents. It didn't age the hamster, did it?

"But I can't draw those body types" then LEARN. I'm sorry to say it but a few of my moots on main can't even draw fat people properly and their Hoagie has the same/similar body type to other characters. That doesn't make it right just because it's occurring often now. If what I said applies to your artwork, you need to make some changes to your work. Learn to draw fat bodies. Hell, learn to draw ANY kind of plus sized characters. Your art style failing to incorporate fat people isn't a quirk, it's just demeaning.

"But I like how he looks skinny!" and why is that? Why can't you allow a character to just be fat? Sounds like you need to work on how you view fat people if you can't draw Hoagie without wanting to slim him down...

"But I want him to learn better food habits/learn to exercise/become healthier in my teen/adult AU!" that's cool and all but... None of that is going to change his body type. We all saw that Tommy was fat from the get-go in that one comic, right? We all remember how his parents look, right? Weight ≠ health. And this is proven various times throughout the show as Hoagie has no problem preforming death-defying stunts. He's a healthy kid, and eats just as much sweets as his friends. A matter of fact, Abby probably eats MORE than he does. He's constantly active due to his involvement with the KND. So the idea that he'd lose weight if he did any of those things is false.

There's no good excuse to draw him skinny at any point in his life. Fat people exist. Get over it and learn to draw them. Thanks!
