A custom bindrune for the lovely @au_fond_des_bois who's an amazing French artist you should check out! I'm currently working on the last few open orders and after that I have some serious rethinking to do. Most likely, the new shop will include ready to ship items only (including some items that were previously made to order, like sunwheels). I will close for custom orders altogether or accept a very limited number of customs just a few times a year. With the baby coming in what is now close future, I feel like I can't concentrate on custom orders anymore and instead, I will pursue building collections and making pieces I can ship to you right away. Hope everyone will understand this! Soon you will be able to read more about the new concept on my website. There will also be an option to subscribe to newsletters, so you can be the first to learn about custom order slots, special offers and discounts. https://www.instagram.com/p/CAJKYr0H1oW/?igshid=3wr6zan9lu28

"Nymphs Dancing to Pan's Flute", Joseph Tomanek, 1920 🔥 Merry Beltane/May Day to everyone! I'll be coronavirus/pregnancy lazy and just repost this old post of mine that gets popular every year. Hope you'll enjoy the read. I think we all need a promise of summer in these dark times and that's exactly what Beltane is bringing us. . . . Today is Beltane, also known as Cétshamhain in Irish (the first of summer) and the Wheel has turned again in its everlasting spin, marking half-way between Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice. Stemming from ancient ritual practices that celebrated fertility in a world where observing the cycles of Nature was crucial for survival, today we gain wisdom and nourishment from this time even in a world that is now prevalently detached from our primordial, wild nature. Some of us may not personally grow crops for living anymore, but our minds and bodies will always be tuned to the rhythm of the seasons, no matter what sort of lifestyle we are having nowadays. As much as Beltane is bringing fertility to the soil, it is also bringing fertility to the soul. We are now fully awaken and flourishing after winter slumber and the turning of the Wheel supports our need for active, creative, fulfilled life - a fertile, fruitful living. Large bonfires that were purifying and cleansing on the Beltane eve in the past continue to be so as the Old Ways are rapidly finding their way back into today's society. Sumer is icumen in, Lhude sing cuccu! Groweþ sed and bloweþ med And springþ þe wde nu, Sing cuccu! Summer has come in, Loudly sing, Cuckoo! The seed grows and the meadow blooms And the wood springs anew, Sing, Cuckoo! (at Ireland (country)) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_nsZF8HQlJ/?igshid=1oan5ejmxatpe

Jera rune 🌾 Handmade in solid sterling silver, 100% recycled, with the same texture I use for my standing stones. One of a kind, available for sale through DM - £39 I made this rustic piece to participate in #runechallenge by @sacred_knot_tattoo. It was a great wee exercise, creating something entirely new alongside open orders does wonders for my mind and makes me more motivated. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-c0QE3nCMn/?igshid=1oi16deh2e1e0

Another megalithic piece for the upcoming new website - or will someone give it a home it before that? 🌿 This rustic dolmen necklace, like all of my other megalithic pieces, is totally unique and made from 100% recycled sterling silver. No two will ever look the same due to the way they're fabricated. This one is heavily textured and oxidised on all sides, it measures 1.8x1.5 cm and comes on a vintage upcycled chain (16", 18" or 20" long). Ready to ship, DM to claim - £59 https://www.instagram.com/p/B9SK8HpnQlY/?igshid=o5318wzgyqck

A pair of silver standing stones 🌿 This pair of stud earrings is a little introduction into what's coming once my pregnancy allows me to start working normally. Standing stones and stone circles will feature heavily in my future collection(s). The earrings represent a dolmen and a menhir, measuring 8 and 6 mm respectively. I'm absolutely in love with the rugged stone texture I achieved here! Available for sale, £24 https://www.instagram.com/p/B8uRnQen3uw/?igshid=1ob6pb56ysgaa

Blessed Imbolc everyone - the Wheel has turned and we're now halfway between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. I'm sharing this post and painting by the amazing @talesfromthewood Today is the beginning of Spring, known as Imbolc in Celtic Pagan tradition. Imbolc is a day of celebration for Brigid, the most famous Goddess of the Tuatha Dé Danann. It is also the Christian feast day of St Brigid, patron saint of Ireland. Believe it or not, these two are actually the same person! Brigid the Goddess was adopted into the Church in the 5th century, when Ireland was being converted to Christianity. This shows how important the goddess was to the Pagan people of Ireland, as the Church could see that she would need to come too in order to make the new religion less strange to the Irish. The Goddess Brigid was the daughter of the Daghdha, a prolific father-figure of the Tuatha Dé Danann. She married Bres, the half-Fomorian king of the Tuatha Dé Danann, and they had a son named Ruadán. Ruadán was killed in the second battle of Moytura, and when Brigid went to the battlefield to mourn him it is said to have been the first lament in Ireland. In the story of Saint Brigid, she is said to have founded her monastery in Kildare at the site of a Pagan shrine to the Goddess Brigid. It was located under a huge sacred oak tree, where a group of young women were tending an eternal flame. This flame is kept burning at the site to this day in honor of Saint Brigid. The most famous tradition associated with Brigid is the making of a Brigids Cross, these are usually made of rushes or willow and are used for protection against evil. Some other traditions include leaving a scarf outside overnight for Brigid to bless (which then cures headaches), and turning a sod in the field for a plentiful harvest. Brigid is associated with the Spring, fertility, new life, poets, smiths, intelligence and warfare amongst other things. She is also seen by many as being a triple deity, which is honoured today by modern Pagans. (at Ireland (country)) https://www.instagram.com/p/B8CfogZnuWK/?igshid=1bk4o8rq8g9oy

Getting close to finishing all open orders and it feels good. Can't wait to be able to work on new jewellery only! Here's one of the new pieces that is now up for sale. This small rustic deer head with citrine comes on a 16" sterling silver chain so it sits on the collarbone nicely. It must be one of the daintiest, lightest necklaces I've ever made and I'm in love with it! The pendant measures 1.8 cm and is made from a combination of sterling and fine silver. Ready to ship, £49. UK shipping included, international depends on the method you choose. https://www.instagram.com/p/B79aZkcnhix/?igshid=1ceqcq58c7pbm

Raw gemstone stackers are one of my oldest designs. I think I've been making them for over 5 years now! My claw setting improved tremendously during that time. This one features an aquamarine and it's stacked together with a thin plain band. It's going to be available again after shop reopening in a few weeks. https://www.instagram.com/p/B7mDwqwnr2A/?igshid=12vhfehqw7nqa

Sterling silver Eihwaz and wooden Raido rune 🔥 If you want to get something that is made to order from my shop, such as runes and suncrosses, please order before the end of this month if you're outside the UK and you want to receive your order before holidays. I'm currently working on a few ready-to-ship pieces that will have slightly longer cut-off date and that's it, after that I'm only concentrating on UK holiday orders - but please don't wait with these for too long either! Holiday season is very stressful for small handmade businesses that can't compete with extreme consumerism and fast delivery services offered by large retailers. Handmade items take time to be made, shipping takes time too, so make sure you don't leave your shopping for the last minute. I'm here to help you with any questions you might have. https://www.instagram.com/p/B5YhGBMHMvy/?igshid=1pv5s704kul6b

Super small Othala rune for dear @elder_and_hazel While making this I realised why there isn't a lot of handmade bracelet charms in the market... They're so small you'll likely melt everything while making them! The rune is just under 1 cm, with 2 mm jump ring. I really like the finished piece, but I'm not sure I want to make something so small again, haha. I will however make other things with tiny runes, like stud earrings 🔥 https://www.instagram.com/p/B5JO_bRnF77/?igshid=1a1bap60p6gi2
