that's so cool that you named an OC after BJ! I mean what are the odds, an OC named BJ Hunnicutt!
i'm usually pretty bad at reading tone but i'm 98% certain this is a passive aggressive jab at my personal interpretation of a character from a show that went off air 39 years ago and that's quite frankly hilarious
I love reading about ppl who lied that they were over 18 or whatever age so that they could join the armed forces like that could notttttttttt be me I’d be 39 rolling up to the draft office during WWI fake red sharpie acne on my face falsetto voice pretending I was a lad of 16.5
so... when are we going to talk about how the all clock symbolism in goncharov, when compared to the theme of all the characters having an unavoidable fate, implies that the movie takes place in a time loop? that's why the characters are all so resigned to their tragic ends, they've lived it all a hundred times before, even if they aren't aware of it. literally the movie of all time.
nothing brings me more joy than critically engaging with media that was clearly not designed with critical engagement in mind. it’s the media studies equivalent of like, idk, trying to skateboard up a flight of stairs.
i think that fundamentally people are wrong when they yell at hawkeye unless the person yelling at him is a woman in which case they are 100% justified bc hawkeyes original sin is misogyny. and margaret is right when she yells at people unless the person she’s yelling at is klinger radar or sometimes one of the nurses in which case she’s wrong bc margarets original sin is actually believing in the army
i think my favorite m*a*s*h episode is was the one where bj beat frank to death with a rock for 20 minutes straight then gaslighted the whole camp into thinking he never existed - literally the spiritual successor to tuttle and a major #girlboss moment
