S.O.S. My Skin Needs Help
By: Harmony B
Hey Guys! So I’ve recently had a baby; and everyone knows that after that, your hormones are through the roof! Well, with delivering my baby has come awful skin that’s so hard to control! I’m beginning to have acne breakouts (which NEVER happens to me) and I have a ton of scarring (which is mainly my fault since I’ve been trying to pop pimples.. I know, I know, sssshhhhh). I’ve never really adopted a skincare regimen because I’ve never considered myself to have “bad” or problematic skin... until NOW! I’m incorporating some new products into my daily routine. I figured I’d monitor it for a month, and then post photos for you guys along the way to see how I’ve done!
I’m pretty much starting out really simple; because I’m not really sure what my skin can and can not handle. I’ve done a little bit of research and came across some really simple, but sworn by items that I’ll begin with. Before I get into that, remember, these are products that I feel comfortable with using on MY SKIN. Everyone’s skin is different, so if you’re reading this post and you decide to try any of those items, make sure you’ve done your research first!
Every morning I’ll go in with my Cetaphil Daily Cleansing Wash (for normal to oily skin). I’ll then follow up with an astringent like Witch Hazel; followed by Ponds Face Moisturizer. At night, I’ll go in with all of the same products, however I’ll be using a Clean and Clear Acne Control Moisturizer as well (and skipping the Ponds). Lastly: the most important thing of all is WATER. I’ll be trying out a few detox recipes over the next few weeks so keep a look out for that blog post! We all know that drinking lots of water is extremely important, and staying hydrated is a must if you’re trying to improve the conditions of your skin!
If you’d like to try out any of the items above, you can click the product links to purchase at a store near you. You’ll see that I may or may not be adding and removing some things to this routine along the way, as I determine what does and does not work for me. Of course, if that is the case, I’ll be updating you guys regularly.
What’s your skin care regimen looking like? Skin Type? What are your holy grail products? What items just never seemed to work for you? I’m always open to ideas and suggestions so if there are other products that you guys think may work better for me, don’t forget to leave me some comments below! Thanks for reading Health and Beauty with Harmony B! 🌻
