Diabetic Neuropathies
Tumblr media
Diabetic neuropathy is a common complication that usually comes related with type 1 or type 2-diabetes. It's a type of nerve damage that comes from not having proper control of sugar levels in our blood. The disease is not something that happens overnight. It usually takes years or even decades to manifest itself in your body. The first symptoms of this illness are a tingling sensation on hands and feet. It will usually increase with time and evolve to numbness.
The damaged nerves are usually very close to your skin. So you won't detect it if you are not paying attention to your body. The body "signals" the presence of diabetic neuropathies by making you feel extreme pain or body temperatures changes in the extremities affected. The reach of Diabetic neuropathy is commonly associated to hands and feet. And going up as far as arms and legs. But the truth is that it can affect any part of the body. Messing with your ability to feel pressure and taking away your balance as you walk.
The American Diabetes Association is quick to point out that the medical reason for the appearance of diabetic neuropathies is unknown. But common wisdom dictates that is related to high blood sugar. Recent (but not conclusive) studies sponsored by the association have found the co-relation of high blood pressure and high cholesterol and triglycerides to diabetes neuropathies. Making it an issue of public health, since those problems are usually associated with the way people handles eating habits. Is also a close call related to how much society partakes on the abuse of harmful substances like alcohol and tobacco.
Once it has been diagnosed, diabetic neuropathies can show various types of symptoms. And consequences to the body that you’ll need to watch out for. They range from numbness to tingling or burning sensations in hands and feet. You can also feel an extreme sensitivity to touch, profuse sweating and pain in arms, legs, back or neck. Lightheadedness can affect you, and provoke involuntary actions in your bladder, bowel or cardiovascular systems. They don't come all at the same time though. And most of those symptoms are related to the type of neuropathy you are diagnosed with.
We can treat diabetic neuropathies in both fronts: prevention and medication. Let’s take a look at what we can do to help ourselves:
Slow the progress
Keeping your blood sugar in check can help slow the progression of neuropathy. It can also help relieve some of the symptoms. The most natural way of doing this is by improving your eating habits. And doing low-impact exercises (like taking a 5km walk a day) Have a chat with your doctor, he'll tell you how to begin.
Manage Pain
Diabetes neuropathies in advanced state are constant source of pain. Doctors will usually hand out prescription that can help with it. But as times goes by our bodies might grow resistant to them. We can always help the traditional treatment with alternatives therapies. Such as acupuncture or massages that help blood circulation.
You can manage nerve pain with supplement like Nerve Renew for nerve pain.

CLA for weight loss
Myths about weight loss
Tumblr media
Today’s world has not only created junk foods for easy preparation and availability; it has created a myth of superficial beauty too. One of the biggest things that determine the beauty in today’s world is the lean and thin body. For men, the muscles have to be beautifully sculpted and for women, tiny waists are a must. The smart and skinny looks for women are the standard of beauty. Now how can one achieve this standard? The answer is through weight loss. However, there are a great number of myths associated with it that may hinder people in achieving their desired goals about weight loss.
Some of these myths are given below.
The myth about calories:
Burning one calorie yields a particular amount of energy but that does not mean a calorie from fatty food is similar to a carbohydrate or a protein food. The calories driven from different sources of foods have different effects on the body. This is because the calories of different foods go through different processes of digestion. Proteins calories are considered better than fat or carbohydrate calories. That is why during weight loss process protein calories in the form of eggs, salmon and grilled or boiled chicken are preferred.
Weight fluctuations:
You might be strictly following your diet plan but when you stand on the weight machine you find your weight either increased or not decreased from the last observation. This happens because of differing metabolic rate. During menstrual cycle; women experience weight gain because of water retention in the body.
The reading on your weight machine might fluctuate because of a full stomach of food or water. There is no need to panic that you are not losing weight as this is a gradual process.
Weight loss supplement:
People consider it the easiest way towards weight loss. The supplements that are advertised to help lose weight are not effective. Even if any supplement succeeds the process takes a long time.
Willpower myth:
Some people claim that losing weight is all about your willpower and how badly you want it. The fact, on the contrary, is that weight gain is a complex process maneuvered by a number of factors. Diseases like hypothyroidism, polycystic ovaries syndrome and stress can lead to obesity. The malfunctioning of hormones is one of the reasons. To cure obesity, in this case, would be to treat the disease first and then go for a food check. Biological and genetic factors contribute a lot towards an obese body. Obesity sometimes runs in the family.

Other benefits across the board
A different research conducted on animals tried to determine the impact of the fatty acid on a disease. The results show CLA to be a powerful ally against several conditions, and also has a minor influence in combating high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, inflammations, osteoporosis, allergic reactions to food, high cholesterol, and triglycerides.
·       Cancer: animal studies show that a consuming at least 0.5 percent CLA in your daily diet reduces tumors by 50 percent, thus eliminates the risk of breast, lung, colorectal, skin, and stomach cancer.
·       Asthma: people with asthma produce higher levels of leukotrienes, which are the fat molecules of the immune system, and the influx of the molecules produces inflammations and pain. CLA combats the inflammations without harming the arteries.
·       Insulin resistance: the fatty acid mimics the effect of synthetic diabetic medicines. Early results for human trials show very positive results when consuming the acid for longer than eight weeks.
Dosages and side effects
As said before, it’s better to ingest CLA in its natural form because it has brings several benefits to the overall health and comes with no side effects. However, CLA in supplements is chemically made, so it becomes unhealthy to consume it in large doses.
Large doses of the fatty acid supplement increase the storage of fat in the liver, which is a step towards diabetes and metabolic syndrome.
Other studies show that excessive CLA ingestion causes insulin resistance and lowers HDL, known as the “good” cholesterol. Keep in mind those results emerged on studies were humans used reasonable doses, so there are genuine concerns with the supplements.
Other disturbing results show the acid causes side effects like nausea, flatulence, diarrhea, and stomach pain.
Safe dosage
Experts recommend using doses ranging from 3.2 to 6.4 milligrams per days. The risk of the side effects is higher the more supplement you take.
U.S.’ FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has given the GRAS (Generally Regarded as Safe) status to CLA and allows the acid to be added to foods.
In summary, CLA Safflower Oil dosages are far riskier than they could be beneficial, and there are other safer ways to lose weight and be healthier. If you are in CLA supplements, though, you should monitor your liver functions and other metabolic processes in regular medical tests.
Lastly, if you’re ingesting the acid from dairy and beef, nothing wrong will happen to you because, as said before, it may help you reduce fat, increase your body mass, and combat several conditions and diseases.
As always, stay away from unnatural and chemical sources of nutrients and minerals. It’s always best to choose a healthy diet over a handful of pills.

Burn fat supplements
Tumblr media
I know that many would wish that staying fit would be easy but it is not. However, people call living fit difficult because they are not used to living that way. The most difficult part of losing fat is changing habits which have been there for years in most cases. It is not that it is easier to eat unhealthily, it's just that it what we are used to. We have natural weight loss alternatives like safflower oils but sometimes we need something more.
We live in a world where fast-food is everywhere and very accessible, so of course many people eat this type of food, which unfortunately has a low nutritional value, few if any minerals or vitamins or protein or dietary fiber and so on, however it is rich in carbohydrates and fats or calories. Also, some people mistake carbs or calories for being harmful or unhealthy. Not true, it is unhealthy to consume too many calories or too much fat, not unhealthy to simply consume it. Your body needs carbs, it needs fat mainly for energy, heat but other things as well.
The problem is that people consume too much which ends up being stored as excess fat in the adipose tissue. It's like, for instance, all living things need water, right? Humans, animals, plants, they all need water. However, we need a certain amount regularly. If it would continue to rain and offer much more than the vegetation, the plants, and forests and so on would need, it would result in a flood, which is not good, despite rain being very good.
So what you can take from this is that even things that are good, seem good, are considered a blessing or healthy can be harmful when abused. It is about quantity, as well as quality. You must eat healthier, better foods and yes, foods with a higher nutritional value are in fact better for you, for your health because they offer more nutrients which your body needs and uses to function, for protection and more.
There is a lot of fat that can be found in dairy products, in meat, etc. However that fat can be removed, there is lean meat, there are low-fat dairy products and that is what you must try and do, reduce the fat, carbs, and calories in your foods while also being more active. Dietary fiber and protein can be your best friends when trying to lose weight but not only, they're just healthy in general.
