he could see just how afraid she was of him and the moment he tracked her eyes he knew why that was. maybe it wasn’t the best idea to keep hold of his staff so tightly, so, the young elf moved slowly.
“alright, just..hang on...” he was moving his body to set the staff against the tree nearest him gently. “how’s that? now, i can’t do anything.”
he couldn’t protect himself either if he needed to, but the staff was within arms range if he was in any danger.

ian had never seen a dragon like her before, his eyes widened as his hands kept grip on the staff just in case he was going to need it.
“hey there, girl...” he voiced calmly as he held out a hand for her, trying to show that he meant her no harm. she was bigger than blazey, that was for sure, and that’s why he feared her for now. “where’ve you come from?”
as if she could answer him, but the elf wanted to keep talking just to keep himself calm.
