It was rare, to watch someone other than herself mock and deny that love sick Oronir. Though, that respect wouldn’t protect Y’hstola. If she continued to call their traditions excuses, there were reasons she couldn’t simply agree to help her. Though, she was the Khan’s ally. Sadu, wished to know if she too, deserved the Dotharl’s loyalty.

“I am not so shallow as to have no other thought in my head.” He was aware of his reputation, but truly did she have to tease him each and every time they met? “I came to you on Daidukul’s suggestion. He has hurt his arm in an accident of sorts - it involved a young Buduga brother and a yol, don’t ask - and I need someone to spar with while he recovers. He brought your name up as you could be a fitting partner.” Sadu was in many ways perfect. They were both leaders of their respective tribes so there were no laws or customs forbidding it and he had to (begrudgingly) admit that Sadu was as capable a warrior as they come.
“Sparring among Oronir is considered an activity shared between friends and comrades - not an excuse to beat each other senseless. I hope I don’t have to spell out the implications.”
— ❝Is that so? That’s news to me.❞ She taunted a bit more. It was true, Sadu was quite cruel with him at times. But, if she didn’t enjoy the Oronir’s company. She would simply ignore him, or worse make it so he was reincarnated into a Dotharl quite quickly. But, she knew the Steppes would be far more boring, if she didn’t have him to butt heads with.Though, all teasing was paused when he mentioned Daidukul and his suggestion of taking her on as a sparring partner.
❝Of course he would, I’m your only suitable partner...In battle.❞ she stated, making sure to explain her words. Last thing she needed, was for Magnai to get the wrong idea. Still, for Daidukul to suggest a such a thing. She would accept such praise, after all the Dotharli were proud warriors. They prided themselves on their prowess, even though they were more known for their blood lust in battle. But, the mention of her being a friend or comrade. That had Sadu smirking, never had she expected him to put her in the same category as his tribe members.
❝And we Dotharli, train as hard as we can. Even if, our partner is harmed in the process. I’m sure, you were warned about such.❞ She began, her head tilting up to stare at the much taller male. ❝But, I suppose I can be gentle with you. Least, to an extent.❞ Sadu offered. Arms crossing under her chest, she gave the male a stern look. ❝But, you will owe me for such treatment, do you understand?❞ Sadu finished, seeming a bit annoyed with being gentle. But, she knew right now there was a peace between them. One that needed to remain, if they wanted to keep the Steppes in order while the Mols reigned.
