The only reason I am reblogging this is that the blog owner has explicitly stated anti-propaganda is also allowed. In the context of this being an anti-character poll, anti-propaganda means pro-character propaganda.

So I am going to carry out my duty as an Amara Sigatar Khura'in fan to challenge Amara slander and talking about why Amara is actually one of the most criminally underrated Ace Attorney characters, and I will fight anyone who calls her the worst character (yes, including everyone who voted hating her in this poll).

First and foremost, Amara is one of the very few mother or mother figure characters in the entire Ace Attorney series who not only get to be important characters in her own right, but actually get to survive the events of the game she is introduced in, and is still alive as of the end of Spirit of Justice, the current last entry of the main series. The Ace Attorney series’ (including the spin-offs) has a bad track record of mothers who are either dead or simply do not even exist, especially when they are related to the main characters, so Amara being an exception to that is refreshing.

In addition, Amara has a LOT of interesting things as a character if you actually look deeper:

A queen who gets crowned and married very young (for reference, Amara was 19 when she had Nahyuta and was already a queen), only to be a target of a fake assassination attempt by her own sister, being separated from her husband and son as a result for literally years.

When she finally reunites with her husband and son and then having a daughter, only to get separated from her husband and son again and being taken hostage by her sister.

Disguising herself as her daughter's servant, so she could raise her daughter, while also teaching her daughter the wisdom being a good ruler.

Willing to go into great lengths, including risking her own reputation to protect her daughter.

With this much going on in her life, Amara is a character full of potential for character exploration that deserves more appreciation from the fandom.
