EDWARD RICHTOFEN. / schdnfrud.
‘ my DAY ? vell , i managed to get through it vithout losing my head , und now i have a permanent scar on my cheek. ‘
he slowly leans in , closing his eyes as a prevailing feeling to not be so critical of the marine was ever so present. but , there was a time and place to berate people. perhaps being considerate to person patching him up would be wise.
the gauze glides across his cheekbone , tensing up as the familiar burn stung his face. he handles it fairly well until a quick sharp STING struck one of his nerves. the shock caused him to pull away briefly. it was so brisk - richtofen catching a glimpse of the other’s doting stare before averting his gaze. the look formed a type of knot within his stomach. this happens much more regularly than he’d care to admit.
there’s a soft clear of his throat as he leans back towards dempsey. richtofen can almost hear his heart in his ears with how nervous he feels - he wonders if dempsey can hear how loud it because it’s so overpowering for him.
‘ it could be … better. ‘
❝ yeah, I’LL SAY. ❞ he chuckles, hand going to hold richtofen’s chin to keep him still. he keeps wiping away the blood until there isn’t any more. is this supposed to be as intimate as it is ? he’s willing to say that NO, IT ISN’T -------------- and either he’s imagining things or he’s just a fool for this awful man. it could be either one, honestly.
❝ dunno if my medical opinion matters much to you, doc, but i think you’re going to be just fine. maybe it’s not going to be permanent, don’t be such a pessimist ! ❞ is that fondness in his tone ? ❝ i don’t think it needs stitches. but, like, if it does, you have to go to nikolai. hell if i want anything to do with that. ❞

god im. thinking about hannibal and clarice

VIII . Does your muse use any scent to perfume the apartment? What kind of scent is it? Does the apartment smell of home-cooked food?
character development.
to put it bluntly, hannibal’s house smells expensive. he’s a very rich man, and you can tell from the moment you walk in. usually it smells of cedarwood and vanilla if he hasn’t found new candles that he likes, but the closer you get to the kitchen the stronger the smell of cooking is.
hannibal cooks as often as he has the opportunity to —– it’s by far his favourite hobby. despite what people might think, he doesn’t eat human flesh nearly as often as he might like to : where on earth would he get the meat without being dreadfully conspicuous ? his favourite meat is lamb, and he could rattle off several good recipes for it if you asked him.

IX . Does your muse’s apartment look like they live alone? Does it appear empty? Is it filled with pictures? Could a visitor guess your muse’s relationship status by looking at the apartment’s interior?
character development.
his house is anything but empty : hannibal has a great appreciation for the fineries in life and makes a point to surround himself with beautiful things —— although most people who know him know that he has nobody to share such splendour with. instead of searching for one such partner, he hosts parties instead, and became well known for his great hospitality.
he has many, many bookshelves, and the walls are covered in paintings, photos, and framed animal specimens : specifically insects. he is, in a way, generous. although he’s very much a man who enjoys his own company, he thinks it would be cruel to be the owner of such wonderful things and not let anybody else see them. so he lets the press document his various collections if and when they ask.
when lecter was incarcerated, he sold all of his paintings and grandeur. his lawyer handled the whole thing spectacularly. after all, if he was to be spending nine life sentences in a hospital for the criminally insane, he wouldn’t be able to look at his possessions, now would he ? no. he would rather let other people marvel upon them instead of selfishly keeping his things locked up in a vault out of spite.
