I will do a part three to the custody battle Platonic Yan Gargoyles AU, but I also had this thought...
What if Reader was a gargoyle, too?
That makes things a bit different. Especially since instead of Elisa or Xanatos trying to take care of Reader in the beginning, Reader is already with the Manhattan Clan, which has Goliath, Brooklyn, Broadway, Lexington, Hudson, and Bronx. Elisa joins slowly, so she'd likely be the human most trusted around Reader, but this happens over time... Now, there are two ways Gargoyle Reader's backstory can go...
They could have either been frozen in stone by The Magus when the others were, caught up in the panic and fighting before they could notice what was happening... or they could have been with Goliath, and saw the aftermath of the sleeping/stone spell, thus choosing to be turned to stone so as not to be away from the last of their clan... Either way, it leaves Reader with them, until a thousand years have passed...
Reader, at the most, would likely only be a few months, if not a year, younger than the Trio (Brooklyn, Broadway, and Lexington). Reader could very well be the same age, but either way, let's say Reader was very empathetic. But after waking up, realizing the massacre wasn't a daymare, and they and their remaining clan members were all in a strange, foreign land with odd buildings and weapons and science... They grow a bit more wary. A bit more closed off. They're still doing their best to remain their old self, but it's hard, staying strong after losing most of their clan...
It gets worse after Demona is revealed to be their enemy, and that Xanatos is not their ally. They can trust Elisa... They hope they can, anyway... But seeing the horrors done by humans, learning their history, finding out they might be the last of their kind... It does something to them. Leaves them a shadow of themself. And while they brush off any concerns, Reader tries to keep it together. It's all they can do now...
The others noticed they're not doing well. And while the Trio can keep Reader distracted every now and again, they're not sure their rookery sibling is entirely there. Sometimes they are caught in the moment, enjoying themself- and the next they're quiet, a small frown on their lips. And it concerns them. Reader always tells them they're fine, that they need to keep in the present... But when it's clear that Reader isn't getting any better, they decide to tell Hudson and Goliath. They're their rookery fathers, so they should know what to do...
Hudson tries getting Reader to spend time with him, hoping perhaps hearing tales of the past might make them feel better, if only for a minute. Even getting them to watch TV and see what Manhattan has to offer. Goliath tries to offer advice, even asks Elisa about some of the symptoms Reader shows... The best she can say is that it sounds like they have survivor's guilt, and explaing it as best she can to him...
Suffice to say, Goliath does his best to get Reader to see their worth, their value, to realize that it's okay they survived. Hudson and the Trio do the same, and it slowly seems to work. Or at least helps soothe some of Reader's fears... (as well as some of their own...)
In this au, Hudson and Goliath do acknowledge the Trio (and Reader) as their kids. And they act like mammalian or some reptilian parents at times, protective and cuddly with their children, dangerous to their enemies, and very involved in trying to keep them alive and well. So they purr, they churr, and they will cuddle together, especially if any of them are wounded, especially the younger ones... Sometimes they might hunt, but it's a bit hard, being in New York, to find any good prey... And any humans who dare attack them are dealt with, as soon as possible... If Goliath and Hudson have to hide this from the young ones, so be it. The four shouldn't have to worry about anything else besides what's already known. If the two of them can ease some of the burden, then it's only right they do so...

For the Platonic Yandere Gargoyles AU, if Reader is Elisa's ward from the first post I made, I wonder what would happen if Xanatos caught wind of it, and decided to get to know Reader... And after getting to know them, let's say he would potentially try to have a custody battle over them, and that would NOT be pretty.
Reader can choose who they want to be with, yes (I'm going with Reader is a teen, so they have to have a legal guardian). But Xanatos has money, connections, and can make the lives of everyone else hard or downright awful, if he wanted. Elisa can possibly catch him in another crime, but he wouldn't be held for long, and the cycle would start again. So, what does Reader suggest?
Split custody.
It isn't a perfect solution. But it leaves no room for argument. David and Elisa won't have to fight it out, and Reader doesn't have to feel pressured (or worry if they're about to earn the wrath of anyone). (Reader wouldn't, no, never, but they survived a horrible crime or witnessed one, so they're imagining everyone as a possible enemy, even if they like them).
Begrudingly, Elisa settles for it. It's the only solution that won't leave Reader without a guardian or take them away from her completely. Xanatos plays it off, but for all anyone knows, he planned for this scenario. And Reader is now dealing with two guardians who do not like each other, but only try to show their best side to Reader...
Elisa is pretty good as a guardian. Making sure Reader takes their online/homeschool classes (due to what happened to Reader, it was decided that kind of education might be best), letting Reader sometimes go with her to different parts of Manhattan, getting Reader and the gargoyles to be friends, even teaching Reader how to cook... Not to mention she encourages them to follow any hobbies they have, especially if those hobbies might relieve some of their trauma. She's kept a lot of things she does secret from them... Such as studying the crime that involved them, and her investigation of any clues or leads to the criminal/s who did it... Watching Reader every now and again when they sleep, because she worries about them, especially when they talk in their sleep, begging someone to not do something, to not hurt them... If she tells the gargoyles about it, it isn't hurting Reader, and the faster they catch who did this to them, the faster Reader won't have to live in constant fear. It doesn't escape her notice how they pull away from contact, the panic when they fear they've done something wrong, the wariness in their eyes and posture, like a wounded animal trying to appear brave... She likes them. They're a good kid in her eyes, who was dealt too heavy a hand. And when Reader finally trusts her enough to tell her their story, what really happened to them... she let's them squeeze her hand as tight as they need, and is pulling them into a hug once they're done. She's glad to have earned their trust, at least enough of it that they'd tell her this... And if she decides that Reader is safer being with some of the gargoyles while she's busy at night, then it's just being a good guardian, a good friend, a good parent...
Xanatos likely only wanted Reader at first because they were someone Elisa cared about. Then because he found out the gargoyles were becoming friends with them. Being Xanatos, he had many, many plans to get on their good side, to sway their favor, to win them over... And each one... fails. It's almost funny, how Reader seems to see through him, seems to know when he's trying to pull one of his tricks in front of them. And he likes that. That it isn't easy, to get them on his side. Xanatos likes a challenge, and if Reader is someone who doesn't fall for his plans... that makes them that much more worth it to him. Except... getting to know them, he grows slightly... attached. They're not easy to extract information from. What he can tell is they don't trust anyone, not completely. No one. Not even Elisa, or even the gargoyles. He's tried to twist that in his favor, and used it against them... But even they're aware of it, and to them, they're in the same boat as him: trying to get Reader to trust them, more than just the barest crumbs of it. Perhaps Reader is talented with something: painting, music, poetry, even being sly... That only adds to his interest, only makes him want them as a ward, perhaps an ally... Trying to pry them from Elisa, though, proves difficult. Not impossible, no. But he does want them to like him, and that won't happen if he rips them from the only guardian they have. But then they come to the conclusion he had already reached: Why not let BOTH of them be their guardians? It wouldn't hurt. And it gives him the time to prove himself a capable friend, if not a possible... parent...
This is not to mention Goliath, who also wants a chance at being Reader's guardian, and is trying to find a way to help them feel safer around him and his clan... And once he knows Xanatos wants them, is getting involved...
Thus begins a three-way battle for the custody of Reader, who is praying to the heavens and whoever/whatever is listening to calm down the... care? of these adults... At least they're all friendly so far...?
Part One: Reader and Elisa...

Hey there, Beast Anon here! I know it's been a hot minute, but if it's alright, I just wanted to ask how you're doing? Everything going alright?
Hi Beast Anon. I'm doing okay. I've been taking some time to focus on my mental health, and trying to handle everything going on outside of this. I'm okay, and will be alright, it will just take a bit of time. I hope you are alright. I am glad to hear from you again, and I hope everything is okay. Thank you for checking in on me😊

hope you’re having a wonderful break!!
I am! Well, I'm enjoying it as best I can. Just having to give my mind a break from the horrors of the world. So that means I've been focusing on doing thi gs that calm me down or make me feel better. I hope you're doing well, too, @crowwithguns. I'm working on a few ideas for the Platonic Yandere Gagroyles AU, which includes a Dark AU, where Reader ends up in a dark timeline or reincarnates, and the Longest Night AU, where a magical artifact messes with some of the characters and influences them to be overprotective and obsessive... So it basically turns them more platonic yandere than they already were. If you have questions about it, I'll do my best to answer, but I'm only working with Gargoyles for now, as it's what I'm watching to cheer myself up. It's pretty good!

I'm back for a bit. I won't be on here very long, and I'm only working on the Platonic Yandere Gargoyles AU right now (the series, not the X-Men AU one)... I might close asks again, but for now, I'll leave them open. I'm still taking a break, but I will post whenever an idea hits me...

Two thoughts came to me, regarding the Platonic Yandere Gargoyles AU, so this will be the first idea I had: If Elisa was protecting someone/had someone put under her care...
I'm imagining this would be someone (a preteen, teen, or young adult), who either saw a crime and are unsafe, as the one who did it is still after them because they're a witness, or Reader could be someone who survived a crime. Reader would be vulnerable, but so closed off due to what happened, that they have a hard time trusting anyone around them. They believe just because someone acts like they care doesn't always mean they do, so they struggle when trying to figure out if Elisa really is good, or if she will hurt them or use them to her own advantage.
What would Elisa think of all of this? She would feel angry, at whoever scared or hurt Reader. She'd feel protective, in a way, especially if Reader is younger than her. She wants to know what happened, so she can help catch who did the crime that scarred Reader, but Reader is very tight-lipped. And she thinks no one, especially not someone that young, should ever feel unsafe around those who can help them. She'd act like a really protective, understanding older sister. If Reader was younger, she might even act like their mom or aunt.
I think she would slowly try to introduce the gargoyles to Reader. Or try to bring Reader up a few times, especially if it's a talk about taking care of younger siblings/kids. She wants them and Reader to be friends, but she isn't sure what's best. On the one hand, it's going to happen eventually. Reader knows she is seeing a few people, who she says she's trying to help around the city. On the other hand, Reader has a habit of getting paranoid if they think someone is lying. So she does her best not to lie, and wouldn't want Reader to close themself off because of hiding the gargoyles. An idea she has is pretty simple: Let the gargoyles see Reader from afar, and let Reader see the gargoyles during the day. So they can all get used to each other.
(She tries not to laugh when Reader sees their statue forms, because they lit up like a Christmas tree, and she hasn't seen them that happy, ever). And now she knows that Reader doesn't mind gargoyles. Now, showing the gargoyles Reader, she does her best to explain what she can. And she would feel more sound in knowing them when they see Reader doing things to help people, or simply to help Elisa (and maybe she didn't even know they did it). So, now she knows that so far, her new friends and her ward seem to like each other from afar. Thus leads to...
Introducing them.
And she feels a bit nervous the entire time, especially since it's dark, and she doesn't want Reader to be scared or hateful of her friends... Except when the gargoyles awaken... Reader is quiet. But they aren't screaming or running or recoiling in disgust. No... They're simply watching. Giving proper introductions isn't hard, it's just a bit... quiet. Let's say one of them asks why Reader is being shy... And Reader responds that they're just... they're not scared of them, they don't dislike them, they're just... a lot bigger than them. But they do find them pretty cool, and Elisa has only ever said good things about them, so they'll believe her on that.
Thus, the gargoyles have a new friend/sibling, and Elisa gets to have them all be friends.
(And also added protection for Reader, once she realizes that if anything happened to her, they'd avenge her, so if anything happened to Reader... yeah, she thinks it was a good idea to be friends with them).
(And let's say Reader eventually tells them all what happened to them or what they witnessed. And they're holding Elisa's hand the entire time, trying not to cry. The crime they witnessed/were subject to was horrible, enough so that they've never been able to talk about it until then. Elisa only knew a little, from evidence that had been gathered and what Reader said in their sleep, but otherwise? This is the first time she's heard the entire story. And it makes her want to cry, too. The gargoyles are possibly there, too. When they hear what happened... some of their eyes start to glow, and there is brimming, boiling anger and protective instincts about to overflow. But they do what they can to offer comfort, and to listen. Reader is reassured once they've finished, that no one thinks less of them, and that they're loved. And now that they know what the perpetrator/s look like, and possibly their names, they can now bring them to justice... The group does hug, and for once Reader feels safe, after what happened to them...)
(Once whoever did the crime is found... if it's Elisa who finds them, she will either bring them in, and they stay in jail, due to Reader's story/witness now being known to the NYPD... or she will help the gargoyles hunt whoever did it down... If the gargoyles find whoever did it... They have no qualms in ending them for good. This person/s hurt one of their own, and a young one, at that. And that is not forgiven... No matter who actually catches or ends the one/s who did it, they let Reader know that the person/s aren't around anymore... And if there is a bit of red on their jacket or claws... It's only from a minor injury or a small cooking mishap. There is no need to worry about it...)
Part 2: Enter Xanatos...

Hello! I'm still mostly taking a break, but, I think maybe a platonic yandere post will help cheer me up! And it's going to be my first non-Marvel platonic yandere idea/concept. So.
Platonic Yandere Disney's Gargoyles
I'm sorry, but what's not to love? The characters, the diversity, the heavier topics, the moral lessons, the Shakespeare references-! And if there was a platonic yandere au for it, there are. So. Many. Options. (So guess what I'm making-)
Like, imagine a Reader who is one of Elisa's siblings, but possibly the youngest?
Or someone who is with her, possibly someone who needed help/protection, so the police/justice system put them with her?
Or if Reader were a gargoyle with the Manhattan Clan from the beginning?
Or maybe Reader is a relative to Owen or Fox or Xanatos?
So. Many. Options.
Not to mention that protecting things, people, anything and anyone loved by them, is in a gargoyle's nature. And the fact everyone has some trust issues they slowly work on. And it's the 90s, so, not as much internet, and everything takes extra effort, so that opens up ways for Reader to get involved (such as looking up stuff in the library, running errands, riding a bike around the area, looking for clues that aren't easily found, etc.)
So... I guess in the comments, I wouldn't mind hearing which character is your favorite. I'm still on break, yes. But I don't mind if y'all want to talk about favorites while I'm out. I might even comment my favorite, but we'll see. I wish y'all the best💛

Just one new au idea to keep y'all sated until next week...
Disney's Gargoyles/X-Men AU...
(It's not going to be the same, as a lot of the relationships and characters for both medias don't quite fit the others... So, I'm making this its own thing. Imagine X-Men characters in a Gargoyles AU, but, they fit different roles and have different relationships than the character's place they are taking...) (I'll explain more at a later date, but I'll do it when I get to it) (So, no characters from Gargoyles; I'll make their own platonic yandere world/au oraaaybe blog,, depending on how much I want to fiddle with it,, one day, I just have to rewarch the series...)
(And if I post anything this week, I'm not going to be here for long. I'm taking a break for a bit, but I had an idea, and if I have one again, I prefer to put it down when I have it, rather than wait)

I'm going to mostly be absent this week from here, guys. I just need a small break. I'll be back by next week, and will proably open asks then. But as of right now, I am taking a break. It's okay to take breaks, alright? And I'll be back. So let's have a good week, do our best, take breaks and eat snacks and drink water when we need it, and enjoy it!

I would say you don’t need more blogs, since this isn’t specifically a X-men blog.

Should I make a separate blog or two for other platonic yan stories that wouldn't include X-Men, or would be for a specific platonic yandere X-Men au? I'm curious, but i think it might be a good idea...
Ex. (for other medias): Dino Squad, Gargoyles...
Ex. (for X-Men aus): Siren, Naga, Dark...

You are LITERALLY such a good writer?????? So ideas? So angst??? I didn’t know people could write like this and not make character’s emotionless manipulative psychos that don’t get punished!!!!!!! Every other “angsty, characters did irreversible damage to reader” has the abusers never feel bad or feel guilty, I’m SO glad to finally see someone write the things I’ve been dreaming of!!!! How do you come up with these ideas???? I love your work!
Thank you, @badussyussysstuff! The thing is... I can't write it that way. I cannot and will not write a story with platonic yans where, if they are abusive/neglectful/awful, they don't learn their lesson, realize they're wrong, and/or THEN act like a platonic yandere towards Reader. They can be that way after they've had a change of heart and turned themself and their actions around. There has to be a change, otherwise I don't feel like it's love. If they're evil to Reader in an abusive way, then I'm making them get character growth. That's how they become a platonic yandere in those fics/scenarios full of angst and abuse. They realized that they had hurt someone, someone innocent and who hadn't hurt them, it had consequences, and that they were wrong. And that if they didn't get their act together, they'd lose everyone else around them and they'd never be happy. (So... I guess I'm saying I let them have some redemption, but they have to earn it and work for it. They don't get off scot-free; no, they lose Reader's trust in them. So, they go to what lengths they can to make things right. To earn Reader's trust. Their love. Whether it works or not. It's not healthy or entirely sane, because it's yanderes, but it's the fact that they've seen they were wrong and seek to now do what they perceive is right...) (And yes, these works will depict unhealthy relationships; its yanderes. But, with the stories I do with abuse or neglect, Reader will not suffer that way forever)
(I hope that explained it some, but I'm not going to be able to fully explain how I view it and feel about it unless I was able to psychic mind-beam it into writing or a person's mind. And i like how others write their yandere fics! I like knowing the different levels to a yandere. But, for my writing, if I'm going to do write a platonic yan who starts out abusive or evil towards Reader, I want to have them realize what they've done is wrong, and put effort into fixing things, albeit with platonic yandere solutions (so not entirely healthy or great, but that's what we're here for). They have to deal with guilt, shame, and other problems due to what they've done. I find it fair, and interesting to see it, after what they've done)
(Have a great day, okay? Feel free to ask questions or ask about a few scenarios or fics if you want! I'm just not doing requests right now, which are for full fics and dialogue😊)

Imagine, if you will for a minute, a Reversed/Swapped Dino Squad/X-Men AU... So, basically it is my other X-Men/Dino Squad AUs (where it has the same characters and the like) but instead of the squad being heroes, they're the villains, and this time the villain is the hero/sane person? Now... that I might have to explore-
(Small amendments to this:
• Reader will most likely be on the side of good, as I want to explore how they'd be without their team or original au mentor
• When I say reversed/swapped, I mean the roles are switched, not necessarily their personality traits...
• A few things might be changed so as to make sense with the role reverals, but otherwise, certain thenes will stay the same
• Victor still doesn't like humans, but since he swapped to the teacher/good raptor role, he tries to steer teens right, while trying to keep the environment healthy
• Reader is likely with him, or if they were with their team at first, decide they'd rather do the right thing, and change to his side...
This is all for now!)

I think a dark Dino squad au would be so cool, like in the show the bad guys never actually killed anyone, but in this they could. Maybe in their Instincts eyes humans are more like prey that’s readily available? And that would help on why the Dino’s don’t see the need to fight or be aggressive against each other because of that? (I finally got a break in my schedule to send this in :D)
Ooooo, that's an amazing idea, @crowwithguns! I had mentioned something like this before, too!
Instincts here are usually more frequent with Victor and Logan, as they were born dinosaurs, so those instincts were already there and meant meant keep them alive and safe and careful towards their own kind. With the teens, instincts aren't as frequent, due to not beinh born, but made, dinosaurs. They have them, they just don't experience then in the same level as those two. Anyone who is seen as a friend or part of their family is safe. They're likely dragged into a nest or taken somewhere deemed safe, and pretty much loved on. Possibly fed and made to sleep, too. If they see an enemy, they're dangerous, seeing them as an immediate threat, and they aim to hurt them or outright destroy them. And if it's just some random person they see? Victor won't like them but might scare them, Logan avoids them, and the teens do their own thing.
(I'm glad to hear from you again, @crowwithguns! I hope you've been well and that you've been doing okay! Thank you for dropping by!😊)

What if (in the dark Dino squad Au) after they got this traumatized and sick and Victor is the only one who was actually able to help, Reader kind of falls into a sort of Stockholm syndrome(not-really-but-kinda) where they don’t want to leave Victor, like they still don’t want for all humans to die, but they’re now so scared and traumatized by what happened to them that they are actually rather happy/content staying with Victor who protects them, loves them and makes sure they’re always happy and healthy and taken care off. How would the others and Logan react? I’d assume Victor would be rather happy about that.
- 🐝 BeaBee
Okay! Good question, I haven't had anyone ask about Stockholm Syndrome-esque reaction from Reader! (I'm not sure if this is a path the au will take, but im happy to explore it here!)
The other teens woukd feel a bit weird. Let's explore their thoughts on it first:
Scott would feel a bit... guilty. Also a little freaked out. Because while yes, they teamed up with their enemy, who has only ever been worried over their health (obsessively enough that he feels freaked out being too close to him), this is still someone who hates humans, and plans to destroy them. He knows tbey agreed to this. He knows why they agreed to this. But it doesn't make him feel any less off about it... (He was the most reluctant to go to Victor for help)
Rogue would be similar, but she also realizes Reader is still having to recover, so it might not last... And even if this sense of gratefulness does last, they begrudingly owe him... She doesn't like most humans, and while she doesn't want them gone, she does want to get back at those who did this to Reader, so... if they're partnering with someone as mean as a tiger, then that's what they'll have to do (she was the second most reluctant, but less so than Scott)
Pietro doesn't like it. He really doesn't. But, facts are: Their new ally saved Reader's life, or at least is keeping them from dying; he's not torturing them or dissecting them or whatever evil scientists and doctors and geneticists do; he's feeding them while Logan is... not available...; and he plans to let them live. So technically speaking, this guy is okay. Look, he'll go along with what's going on until they have a reason not to. Plus, they get to figure out how some of this stuff woks, so if they want, they could try to at least mitigate some of the damage done in Victor's plans... or try to change things for the better... (He was in the middle on it, but leans more towards for their choice rather than against it)
Gambit... he doesn't like they had to make this choice, but... it was the lesser of two evils. And if this evil raptor can keep Reader alive and doesn't want them dead, then he's all for whatever plan he has. He doesn't want to change the environment to the prehistoric era one. He doesn't want to change certain animals or plants. He doesn't want to lose his friends, his family. And he won't. As long as they do this, then they have a say in what happens. It isn't easy, and it isn't pure, but it's what they have left. It was this, or let Reader die... And that simply wa.ant going to happen... (He is for the choice they made, albeit he discussed it with the others before they all decided on it)
Logan.. was against it. He only found out last minute, when the choice had already been made and the deal sealed. He thought it was a bad idea, because the last time he talked with brother, was hundreds, if not thousands, of years ago. And the brother he remembered hated humans with a passion. He was scared his brother would harm the kids if he ever found out they were human, or had been human... Then he wakes up, to find out he's being kept sedated, so he doesn't leave... He's not happy. But... when his brother is able to keep Reader from dying... He reluctantly accepts it. He doesn't like Reader liking his brother so much, but until they're fully healed or cured, they can't afford to leave...
And Victor has no complaints in the least. He has a nestling who is curled against him half the time, he has the other teens to care for, and he has his brother, all with him, alive, and as well as they can manage... So he's quite pleased with this new situation...
