Hey guys I typically dojn't make posts like this but today I was playing Minecraft and cutting down a birch tree and a skeleton walked out of a cave. kind of uncertain about the bad omen change. if it was made specifically to target raid farms then i think it was a hella bad move. bad omen inherently is supposed to be a challenge thrown at the player and a consequence of action. making it optional removes the immersiveness of it. you will never be able to accidently trigger a raid again because you forgot you killed a pillager patrol 30 minutes ago. why ???? that was fun it added story and superstition to the game. why do the pillagers have mystery juice in a bottle on them now. what story does this add besides adding even more content to the already steadily becoming bloated trial chambers

im not the type of minecraft player to be like "ohhh i miss the old minecraft" or "i miss this i miss that new minecraft bad" but you know what i do fucking miss? old world customization settings. do you remember when you could control the types of ores and how often they generated. how you could mess with terrain generation and get some shit weirder than amplified. you could pick what biomes you wanted instead of just one. where did that go. why did they remove that.

i love minecraft waiting behaviors. Writing on a sign and you can vaguely see your friend hopping around making spontaneous parkour out of the terrain while they wait for you to finish. writing a message in chat and having the person you’re talking to crouch right in front of you or stand as close to you as possible while they wait for you to finish. Finally finishing writing in a book only to see your friend has made several new furniture pieces and/or surrounded you in a cobblestone cube that may or may not have a sign on it. theres something so charming to it
